MAMAMOO Moonbyul Proves She's the Biggest Fan of SNSD Taeyeon, Confesses Love for the Idol in the Most Relatable Way

Although Girls' Generation (SNSD) Taeyeon is truly the "idol of idols" with how a lot of idols look up to her, MAMAMOO Moonbyul definitely ranked No. 1 in the list with her relatable way of showing the love for the "Can't Control Myself" singer.

In an interview with Ten Asia released on Jan. 19, MAMAMOO Moonbyul mentioned Taeyeon of Girls' Generation and narrated her successful "fangirl" life.

On the same day, Moon Byul will release her third mini-album "6equence" through various online music sites at 6 p.m. KST.

Prior to the release of her much-waited comeback album as a soloist, she joined an interview and talked about why she shed tears on tvN's entertainment show "Amazing Saturday," which was aired last year.

In particular, Moonbyul stated that it was thanks to Taeyeon that she debuted as a singer, who became one of her inspirations. Since she didn't know what to do at that time, the "AYA" singer followed Taeyeon's path, attended the same academy as hers, and even used Girls' Generation songs for her practice.

When she debuted, Moonbyul confessed that she initially wanted to quietly cheer on her, but when Taeyeon said on the show, "Byul-ah, you worked hard," the junior idol shed tears.

"Why did I cry? Tears flowed without realizing it. I was literally touched, and I've never felt that way in my life. When Taeyeon said, 'Byul-ah,' I thought that "I've lived well," "I've endured well," and "I've come all the way here well," highlighting how that one word comforted her and made her emotional looking back to what she went through.

"Hearing the story next to someone I respect, I think that's why I shed tears," she added.

MAMAMOO Moonbyul Receives a DM from SNSD Taeyeon, and Her Reaction Was So Relatable

In the interview, Moonbyul continued with her "fangirl" stories, and she drew attention with her relatable ways of showing how she loved her idol.

As careful as a true fan, the "Absence" singer contacted Taeyeon through her manager and sent a long letter, conveying how she both felt sorry for making her flustered and thankful for accepting her. Moonbyul also conveyed her desire to call her "eonnie" instead of "sunbaenim" when they got closer the next time.

Knowing how kind Taeyeon is, she responded to Moonbyul through a DM, which almost brought the latter idol to tears again.

Just like any fan, Moonbyul confessed that she instantly pressed "like/hearts" on Taeyeon"s Instagram photos then, a very fan-like act to express love for their idols.

Lastly, her consideration and respect for Taeyeon showed when she said how she didn't want to rush their relationship.

"Since then, we haven't met in private. But, I didn't want to hastily approach her. I wanted to say, 'I want to get your number,' but I didn't want to rush into having a relationship with each other. I just wanted to show that I was cheering for my "eonnie" and said, 'I'm alive here.' I want to be able to see this relationship until the end and for the rest of my life," Moonbyul genuinely said.
