BTS is South Korea's Highest-Paid CF Stars After Earning $55 Million on Commercials in 2021 Alone
2020 and 2021 has been a rocky year for many due to the pandemic, however, that doesn't slow down superstar group BTS from their success! From topping numerous music charts around the world to selling more than a million copies in music releases.
Aside from their music releases and other related successes, the "Permission to Dance" hitmakers are also dominating the CF scene - also known as commercial films or advertisements.
As BTS is dubbed as the top boy band in the world and is in high-demand by almost everywhere and everyone, the seven-member boy group earns a hefty amount from brands for their endorsement deals.
So it's no surprise that BTS is currently South Korea's highest-paid CF stars. In fact, in 2021 alone, the group earned more than a whopping $55.1 million USD for their commercials and advertisement deals.
According to reports, BTS has a starting advertising model fee of around $4.1 million USD for a one year contract. In addition, the $4.1 million base fee is already a 20 percent drop from their existing model fee, with BTS voluntarily reducing the fee in light of the spread of COVID-19.
In fact, back in June 2021, mega fast-food chain McDonald's had their biggest collaboration with BTS to release the highly-successful "BTS Meal." Reports say they copped the group for $8.5 million USD for the campaign, and given the success the meal received all around the world, the $8 million USD isn't unreasonable.
