On January 31 KST, ENHYPEN fans, also known as ENGENEs, began trending the hashtag "#BELIFT_APOLOGIZE" over on the social media platform Twitter, as they demand ENHYPEN's label, Belift Lab, to release an apology to the group members.

The trending hashtag came after Belift Lab posted a new video of ENHYPEN on the group's official Youtube channel on January 30, which features the members in their latest "ENHYPEN's Free Board," also known as "ENFB."

"ENHYPEN's Free Board" is a series wherein the group members send in anonymous tips as they figure out who submitted the tip among the seven of them in a talk-show format.

While the video started out as innocent and fun at first, it quickly went downhill for fans when the video reached Jay's part.

In particular, Jay talked about how there would always be one or two empty bags of chips laying around his computer when he wakes up. He then hopes that whoever leaves their bags around would take responsibility, mentioning how he knows it's one of the younger members. After Jay's video was shown, the members then began discussing the issue.

But what caught the attention of fans was how Belift Lab's video editors edited the video, when they placed a picture of Jay over a trash bin after fellow member Jake said, "As for the trash, it was Jay," with Jake clarifying at the same time that he wasn't referring to Jay as "trash," but rather, he meant that it was Jay who threw the trash.
