BTS Jimin Diagnosed Positive of COVID-19

On January 31, Big Hit Music stated Jimin underwent a PCR test along with a detailed physical examination at a hospital because he was exhibiting mild sore throat and abdominal pain last January 30.

As result, he was diagnosed with COVID-19 that same day, along with acute appendicitis and he is needed to undergo surgery.

Big Hit Music added that Jimin underwent surgery early on January 31 after the medical staff's recommendation that it was necessary. As for the COVID-19 infection, the idol currently has mild sore throat symptoms and is improving.

Early in December, Jimin's fellow BTS members Suga, RM, and Jin were also diagnosed with COVID-19 and are now in good health.

While BTS Jimin was diagnosed with COVID-19 and appendicitis, Twitter is flooding with fans' comfort and support for the idol.

Jimin's last activity on Weverse was on January 9, it was a post that conveyed his longing for ARMYs saying "I miss you." Accordingly, the Twitter real-time trend was filled with tweets waiting for him, the phrases "WHERE IS JIMIN" and "I MISS JIMIN" are raising.

Because of the news of his surgery and COVID-19, fans left endless messages of consolation and support on Twitter. The hashtags "#BTSJimin," #BTS_JIMIN," "#JIMIN," "#We_love_you_jimin," and "#GetWellSoonJimin" are now topping worldwide Twitter trends.

BTS Jimin's 'Serendipity' Writes History on YouTube

BTS Jimin's solo song "Serendipity" official audio track has once again written a new history on YouTube.

On January 18 (KST), Jimin became the first and only Korean solo singer to have three official audio tracks with over 30 million views on YouTube as "Serendipity" hits 30 million views.

It is the third after "Filter" (84.41 million views) and "Christmas Love" (43.27 million views). The latter holds the record of 9.55 million views in the first 24 hours of the release of an audio track by a Korean singer.

Then, "Serendipity" followed, and Jimin held both the record for the most and the first for a Korean solo artist on YouTube.

"Serendipity" was released in September 2017 and re-released in August 2018 with an additional amount added to "Intro: Serendipity," which broke the first 100 million hits among BTS comeback trailer music videos and solo songs.

Moreover, it also made records on Spotify.

"Serendipity" has achieved 177 million streaming, and Jimin's solo songs have taken over the world's major music platforms, continuing the power of music.

BTS Gets Three Nominations at the iHeart Radio Music Awards

BTS gets nominations for "Best Duo / Group of the Year," "Best Music Video" category with their hit "Butter," which topped the Billboard charts, and "Best Fan Army."

The iHeartRadio Music Awards began in 2014 as an awards ceremony held by iHeartRadio. This year's awards ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on March 22 and it will be broadcast live on Fox, a US TV network.
