Here’s How Cherry Bullet Bora Got Infected With COVID-19

Cherry Bullet Bora becomes the first member of the K-pop girl group to test positive for COVID-19.

Her management, FNC Entertainment, made the announcement on Wednesday, February 3. They said that Bora came into close contact with a positive staff while receiving her lessons.

The idol underwent RT-PRC testing and found out that she's also positive for COVID-19.

Luckily, none of the other members of Cherry Bullet have tested positive for the virus. But they are still isolating just to make sure.

Cherry Bullet Bora Recovering From COVID-19

FNC Entertainment also revealed that Bora has been experiencing mild symptoms and sore throat but stressed that the singer is recovering well. They also vowed to follow all precautionary measures to ensure that Bora would get back on her feet in no time.

As of press writing, Bora has not yet shared a message to her fans since her positive diagnosis.

VIVIZ, The Boyz Test Positive For COVID-19

Several other Kpop idols have also tested positive for COVID-19. All three members of VIVIZ contracted the virus within a few days of each other.

Eunha and SinB both tested positive for the virus on Jan. 30 while Umji tested positive on Jan. 29.

All three are recovering and isolated at home.

Other than the VIVIZ members, five members of The Boyz also tested positive for COVID-19. Erin, Younghoon, Hyunjae, and Ju Haknyeon were the first to test positive for the virus.

On Jan. 30, Sangyeon also tested positive for COVID-19.

Cherry Bullet on Hiatus Since 2020

Cherry Bullet is currently on break since Bora is still recovering from COVID-19. But the girl group has plenty of things in store for their fans.

Following their debut on Jan. 21, 2019, Cherry Bullet released their first album Let's Play Cherry Bullet two years later.

The group, which is made up of Haeyoon, Yuju, Remi, Jiwon, Chaerin, and more released some memorable tracks including "Q&A," "Really Really," "VIOLET," "Stick Out," "Cherry Rush," and more.

In February 2021, Cherry Bullet members opened up about their first mini-album that was released two years after they debuted in South Korea.

Hae Yoon said that they prepared for their first mini-album for quite some time and are thrilled that their fans waited for its release.

One of the songs in the album, "Cherry Rush," reportedly has similarities with "Let's Play Cherry Bullet." Ji Won that the latter is an improved version of the previous track. After all, they focused on their vocals and performances to make sure that the song would be world-class.

When asked what has changed since Cherry Bullet debuted, Bora said that the existence of their fans was the biggest change that they had to adjust to.

In the past, Bora would sing and dance for herself, and she was also her own worst critic. But after meeting Cherry Bullet fans also known as "Lullet," she and her fellow Kpop idols now have fans to perform for.

Bora added that she's grateful to all the fans because they inspire Cherry Bullet to work hard and become better artists and people in general.
