BTS J-Hope's 'Chicken Noodle Soup' Surpasses 328 Million Views

On February 3, BTS J-Hope's "Chicken Noodle Soup" (feat. Becky G) music video, released September 17, 2019, exceeded 328 million views on YouTube. At the same time, the music video achieved 11 million likes.

J-Hope is the first and only BTS member to achieve 300 million views on a solo music video. Moreover, it continued to record the second-highest number of views among BTS member solo music videos on YouTube.

In this song, J-Hope used the chorus of "Chicken Noodle Soup" by Webstar and Young B in the year 2006. According to him, he enjoyed learning the song when he was a child and he recreated it as his own solo song.

In fact, J-Hope took the lead in writing the lyrics, composing, choreography, costumes, accessories, and he helped direct the music video. The final scene in the music video in which all the performers harmonize was J-Hope's idea.

"Chicken Noodle Soup" broke a records on foreign music charts. It ranked on the US Billboard Hit 100, Canadian Billboard Hot 100, and on the UK Official Singles Chart, setting a great record of being the second Korean solo artist to enter the US, the UK, and Canada main single charts after Psy.

In addition, on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart, it was on the chart for a total of 15 weeks, including first place in the first week of its release.

Meanwhile, on the iTunes chart, it topped the British Virgin Islands, reaching number one in a total of 102 countries.

BTS J-Hope Sets New Record on Spotify

According to Spotify on January 30, J-Hope recorded 8.8 million, 294 followers. This corresponds to the number one Korean solo artist and has been at the top for two years and nine months since April 8, 2019.

In particular, among all 1,153 Korean artists registered on Spotify, it rose by one place compared to the previous day, rising to fourth place after BTS, BLACKPINK, and TWICE, and among male singers, it took second place after BTS.

Currently, eight solo songs are registered on Spotify's J-Hope page. Solo mixtape (non-regular free album)and seven songs from "Hope World" which includes; "Daydream," "Airplane," "Hopeworld," "Blueside," "Baseline," "Always," "POP" and "Chicken Noodle Soup" feat. Becky G.

Meanwhile, BTS was nominated in three categories at the 2022 iHeart Radio Music Award 2022 in the US for "Best Duo/Group of the Year," "Best Music Video," and "Best Fan Army."

The awards ceremony will be held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the USA on March 22.
