2AM Postpones Solo '22 S/S' Concert

On Friday, Feb. 11, several sources revealed that Jo Kwon tested positive for COVID-19 after experiencing minor symptoms.

Cube Entertainment confirmed that Jo Kwon already received his booster shot, but he still tested positive for COVID-19.

The idol is also recovering at home, which means that he won't be making appearances until he's fully recovered.

Further, 2AM has yet to announce its new show dates.

2AM's upcoming "22 S/S" on Feb. 12 and 13 would've been the group's first solo concert in nine years.

Several K-pop Idols Tested Positive for COVID-19 in January

During the final week of January, ten K-pop idols also tested positive for COVID-19.

WEi Donghan tested positive on Jan. 25. Two other WEi members, Yong-ha and Seokhwa, also tested positive.

"Double Trouble" star Hyolyn tested positive for COVID-19 on Jan. 26.

iKON Junhoe, Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, and Donghyuk all tested positive for COVID-19 between Jan. 24 and 25.

On Jan. 24, WINNER Seunghoon also tested positive for the virus.

TREASURE Yoshi also tested positive, prompting the K-pop group to postpone the release of their new album, "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE."

2AM is a South Korean boy group that is made up of Lee Chang-min, Lim Seul-Ong, Jeong Jinwoon, and Jo Kwon.

Kwon, 32, is the leader of 2AM. He made his solo debut on June 25, 2012, with his first studio album, "I'm Da One."

At the time, Jo Kwon was starring in the musical "Jamie," where he plays the role of a drag queen. A lot of people criticized the performer for his appearance, but Jo Kwon hopes that one day more people would be able to accept the fact that some men can also be feminine.

In 2012, Jo Kwon signed as a solo artist for Big Hit Entertainment. The CEO asked Jo Kwon if he has a concept for his promotions, and he told Bang Si Hyuk that his idea is inspired by Lady Gaga.

Even though the concept sounds controversial, Bang Si Hyuk allowed Jo Kwon to express himself as an artist.

In fact, Bang Si Hyuk was also the one that gave Jo Kwon his first-ever pair of high heels.
