Girls' Generation Taeyeon Reveals True Feelings About Joining GOT The Beat
In the afternoon of February 14, KST, Girls' Generation's leader Taeyeon held an online press conference to commemorate the release of her third album, "INVU," with the event being hosted by TV personality Jaejae.
During the press conference, Taeyeon talked about her new album, as well as well debuting in SM Entertainment's female supergroup, GOT The Beat.
Back on January 3, Taeyeon released a single called "Step Back" along with her senior BoA, fellow Girls' Generation member Hyoyeon, and juniors Red Velvet's Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa's Winter and Karina.
While talking about GOT The Beat, also known as Girls On Top (GOT), Taeyeon was asked about how she felt collaboration with her fellow SM Entertainment senior and juniors.

To this, Taeyeon said, "It was so much fun. It was strange picturing it for me too. Even while we were in the practice room, I had a strange feeling and thought, 'What is this combination?' It was surprising."
She laughed and continued, "The preparation period [for 'Step Back'] was short. Because we were so busy preparing, we didn't have enough opportunities to get to know each other better. But there were time when we tried to get to know each other somehow."

In particular, Taeyeon also mentioned SM Entertainment's rookie girl group aespa, and burst into laughter as she explained that due to their generation gap, it might be difficult to get close to them. So in order for her to try and get to know them, she would talk to them in advance and played pranks on them.
Taeyeon also mentioned her senior, BoA, and shared that BoA would keep looking at her and tell Taeyeon that she is the leader of the group, and eventually took on the role of leading the atmosphere among the members.
Taeyeon Drops 'INVU' Music Video
On the same day at 6pm KST, Taeyeon made her solo comeback and released the music video for her new track "INVU," which is the title track of her album of the same name.
"INVU" is a pop dance track featuring dreamlike and gentle synth sounds and a flute melody. Lyrically, the song is about expressing one's feelings after seeing how their lover is different compared to them, who doesn't hold back in love despite getting hurt multiple times.
