2021 Mubeat Awards Winners: BLACKPINK Lisa, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, IVE, MORE!

The winners for the 2021 Mubeat Awards were finally unveiled! Among numerous candidates in ten categories, BLACKPINK Lisa, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, more won respective titles!

On February 17, Mubeat, an app streaming data platform also factored on Gaon Chart unveiled the winners for its annual Mubeat Awards ceremony.

What is the Mubeat Awards?

In particular, the awards ceremony is held virtually by Mubeat, wherein global fans who are also the app users can vote on the artists they think are deserving for the ten categories including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, MV of the Year, Trot Star of the Year, Rookie Artist (Male), Rookie Artist (Female), Best Male Solo, Best Female Solo, Best Performance, and Global Pick.

Based on the results, there is a total of 252 countries and 4,523,016 fans who participated in the voting event, accumulating 116,317,215 total votes. Among countries, Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, USA and Vietnam are the Top 5 countries who actively joined the vote, respectively.

Here Are the 2021 Mubeat Awards Winners

Lim Young Woong - 'Artist of the Year,' 'Song of the Year,' 'MV of the Year,' 'Trot Star of the Year,' 'Best Male Solo'

Lim Young Woong, South Korea's representative trot singer took home five trophies this year. Despite huge K-pop idol competitors such as BTS, EXO, and Stray Kids, who have big fandoms around the world, the singer still prevailed with his larger fan base from Korea, USA and Canada.

OMEGA X - Rookie Artist (Male)

Among newly launched boy groups, OMEGA X proved their power and secured the rookie of the year trophy. In particular, the 11-member group debuted in 2021 under Spire Entertainment. Comprised of members that came from previous survival shows, their first EP, "Vamos" became a commercial success. This year, the group continues to show potential as they release their second EP, "Love Me Like."

IVE - Rookie Artist (Female)

IVE who debuted in Dec. 2021 immediately rose as a "Rookie Monster" following the release of their hit debut track, "ELEVEN." Just seven days after their launch, the sextet made history as the fastest girl group to achieve a first music show win.

BLACKPINK Lisa - Best Female Solo

After the close fight with BLACKPINK Rosé and Hwasa, Lisa took home the title with about 950,000 votes, the majority from Vietnam, China and USA.

In September 2021, Lisa debuted as a solo artist with her single album, "LALISA." At that time, she became the first female idol to sold more than 730,000 copies a week after its release

SEVENTEEN's "Rock With You" - Best Performance

Among releases in 2021, SEVENTEEN's "Rock With You" was selected for the "Best Performance" title. The group defeated ATEEZ's "Deja Vu" and ITZY's "LOCO" with more than 6 million votes.

"Rock With You" is the title track of SEVENTEEN's ninth, EP "Attacca" which sold 2 million copies, the first double-million album of the group.

Stray Kids - Global Pick

Last but not least, Stray Kids flaunted its popularity around the world, winning the trophy for "Global Pick." Stray Kids beat ENHYPEN and BTS with 1.6 million votes (46.9%), which the majority of votes coming from the Philippines, USA and Malaysia.
