Avril Lavigne Reacts To TXT Hueningkai's 'Sk8er Boi' Cover
On Saturday, Feb. 19, TXT dropped Hueningkai's cover of Lavigne's hit song, "Sk8er Boi," on YouTube. The video quickly rose to the top 50 trending videos on the platform.
Following its release, TXT Hueningkai tagged Lavigne on Twitter, alongside a link to his cover.
He also said he hopes Avril Lavigne would like his cover of "Sk8er Boi" before calling the singer an icon.
Shortly after, Lavigne replied to TXT Hueningkai and said that his cover was amazing.
MOAs Praise TXT Hueningkai's 'Sk8er Boi' Cover
When MOAs saw Avril Lavigne's response to their idol, they couldn't help but praise Hueningkai even more.
Some of them even noted that this wasn't the first time TXT Hueningkai received praises from an international artist.
In April 2021, 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) also gave him a shoutout after hearing his cover of their hit song, "Young Blood."
Several other MOAs said that "Sk8er Boi" was perfect for Hueningkai's voice.
Others then encouraged TXT Hueningkai to cover more music.
Hueningkai Talks About TXT, Songs, Goals
In August 2021, TXT Hueningkai graced the cover of GQ Korea.
While speaking with the magazine, Hueningkai talked about his group's second studio album and how different his atmosphere has become.
He said that for the second album, he decided to focus more on his emotions. After all, showing one's emotions is an important part of singing.
Hueningkai added that he also focused more on the lyrics of their songs because each track conveys a message.

The 19-year-old K-pop idol also weighed in on what it's really like working with his groupmates.

Additionally, TXT members also share their thoughts and opinions with each other. And they have also learned to compromise.
When asked what his biggest life goal is, TXT Hueningkai said that it's touching people's emotions through music. He admitted that he's still in the process of reaching this ultimate goal of his.
TXT is a South Korean male group that debuted on March 4, 2019, with the EP "The Dream Chapter: Star."
The group is made up of Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai.
