BTS V's song "Christmas Tree" continues to break international records two months since its release.
BTS V's 'Christmas Tree' Breaks More Records
According to reports, "Christmas Tree" spent five weeks on the Billboard Global 200 Excl US charts, making it the longest-charting Korean OST and a song by a Korean male soloist to ever be part of the chart.
Other than this, "Christmas Tree" also spent two weeks on the Billboard Philippines Songs charts.
And this is not all, because BTS V's "Christmas Tree" also gained traction in Singapore after it landed on the country's RIAS Top Charts for eight weeks straight.
"Christmas Tree" is featured in the hit K-drama, "Our Beloved Summer."
Following its December 2021 release, "Christmas Tree" immediately broke records after it received the highest number of debut streams for a Korean OST on Spotify.
"Christmas Tree" also rose to the iTunes US and Worldwide charts following its release. And it also dethroned Mariah Carey's hit song, "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
BTS V's Songs Featured in 3 K-dramas
"Christmas Tree" also served as BTS V's third song contribution to a Korean drama. He performed "It's Definitely You" with co-member Jin in 2016 as part of the "Hwarang" OST."
BTS V also sang "Sweet Night" in 2020, and the song is featured in the OST for "Itaewon Class."
When Will BTS V Drop His Mixtape?
Even though BTS V has already recorded songs for three K-dramas, he has not released his debut solo album unlike other members of his K-pop group.
Last year, BTS V hinted at the possibility of releasing his debut solo album before the year of the year. But this did not happen.

He told Rolling Stone that there's so much pressure when it comes to releasing a debut solo album that's why he wants to make it as perfect as possible.
This could be the reason why BTS V is taking his sweet time before he unveils his mixtape.
BTS V Shares His Biggest Goal
In December 2021, BTS V spoke with GQ Australia to share what his hopes and goals are as an artist.
He said that he wants to be able to write a song that he would be very proud of. In the past, BTS V said that he has already written some songs, but they always fall short of his expectations.
BTS V also said that his thoughts and experiences change a lot so his songs also differ in terms of lyrics and melody.
At the end of the day, he wants to release a track that he could perform in front of ARMYs.
