Grammy Awards Announces New Ceremony Date
Back on January 5, the Recording Academy, which organizes the world-renowned Grammy Awards, announced the postponement of the awards ceremony after considering and having discussions with state and city officials, health experts, and artists amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in the United States.
The 64th Grammy Awards was originally scheduled to take place on January 30 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. However, COVID-19 with the Omicron variant posed too many risks for the ceremony to continue.

In light of the announcement, seven-piece boy group BTS also cancelled their flight back to Los Angeles as they were slated to make an appearance at the ceremony.
This eventually brought the question whether BTS will still appear at the Grammy Awards on the new date, which the Recording Academy announced to be on April 3 and will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Is BTS Attending the Grammys? Recording Academy Teases Fans With Possibility
Recently on February 23, BTS announced that they will be holding their live concert "Permission to Dance On Stage" in Las Vegas on April 8 to 16 at the Allegiant Stadium. With this announcement, many are expecting BTS to possibly make an appearance at the ceremony.
In fact, the Recording Academy drew attention after they responded to one BTS fan, @vbora1995_, on Twitter, who tweeted, "My dream interaction in the Grammys? Kim Taehyung and @JonBatiste."
To this, the Recording Academy replied by saying, "We'll send you a photo if this happens."
Jon Batiste himself also replied to the tweet, and shares that he also wants to meet BTS' V in person! "Love him. I'm in! Are you Kim Taehyung?" Jon Batiste said along with a collage photo of him and V.

This little interaction sparked excitement among fans, as this could mean that BTS would be attending the Grammy Awards this year, and even meeting Jon Batiste, who is a world-class jazz artist.
As V often expresses his love for jazz, him meeting Jon Batiste would definitely be a fanboy moment for the idol! In fact, he has also expressed his desire to release jazz music with his fellow BTS members in the future.
In addition to Jon Batiste's tweet, he also followed V's Instagram account, and even shared a video of V playing the trumpet through his Instagram Story.
