BTS Suga Shares Experience Working With Bandmate Jungkook on '7Fates: CHAKHO' OST

During a live broadcast, BTS Suga shared what it was like working with Jungkook on the original soundtrack for "7Fates: CHAKHO," and he was praising his bandmate nonstop.

BTS Suga Talks About Working With Jungkook on '7Fates: CHAKHO' OST 'Stay Alive'

On March 1, BTS member Suga surprised fans with a live broadcast via Naver V Live. He took the time to communicate with the fans from his studio.

At one point during the livestream, Suga discussed his recently produced song "Stay Alive," which serves as the OST for BTS' webtoon "7Fates: CHAKHO."

Sang by BTS Jungkook, "Stay Alive" was released on Feb. 11 and has since been breaking records on Billboard, Spotify, and other music streaming platforms and charts.

"Actually, I made this song quite a while ago. But, I have no idea when to release it. I began writing the lyrics for the track when the release date was finalized," BTS Suga said.

The rapper continued that he wrote the lyrics while he was in Los Angeles, ahead of BTS' "PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE" concert. He further stated that he read "7Fates: CHAKHO" up to the fourth episode before working on the OST.

"I thought about different soundtracks for animations while I wrote the lyrics," BTS Suga shared.

Later on, he talked about what it was like working on "Stay Alive" with Jungkook. He could not stop praising his fellow BTS member for a job well done, especially since some of the parts of the song were pretty hard.

Suga said, "First of all, Jungkook was so good at singing so we experienced no difficulties. The key was hard to match though. When it was matched to the chorus, it became very high but Jungkook sang so well."

He went on to share how the recording of the "7Fates: CHAKHO" OST went so smoothly thanks to BTS Jungkook's talent despite Suga being in the United States.

"I was in America when he recorded it. I initially recorded it by myself and sent it to Jungkook. He did an amazing job. Before I sent it to mix, I listened to it on repeat while editing it," he stated.

BTS Suga then said that he liked Jungkook's recording of "Stay Alive" so much that they didn't ask him to re-record it. This means the OST that fans are listening to now was recorded in just one take.

Suga concluded that Jungkook is his "friend of many talents".

In related news, Jungkook's "Stay Alive" (produced by SUGA) has made history once again, and this time in the United Kingdom.

For the week of Feb. 18 to 24, the "7Fates: CHAKHO" OST landed on the UK Official Singles Chart. In particular, it debuted at No. 89, becoming the first Korean OST in history to enter the tally.

"Stay Alive" even ranked No. 5 on both the Official Singles Downloads Chart and the Official Singles Sales Chart.
