Park Hyung Sik Reveals How Different His Friendship With BTS V Became After Latter's Global Popularity

Recently on March 2, one Japanese fashion magazine shared their recent interview with "Happiness" star Park Hyung Sik online.

During this interview, Park Hyung Sik talked about his friendship with BTS member and fellow "Wooga Squad" member, V, when he was asked about how he feels seeing his friend being adored and loved all around the world.

To this, Park Hyung Sik expressed his amazement at V's global popularity. "It is still very hard to believe that there is such a big number of people who love im so much," Park Hyung Sik said.

He went on to continue praising his friend, saying, "Not only has BTS received awards at several prestigious awards ceremonies in the United States, but they also got a lot of non-Koreans to sing along to their songs, which are in Korean. It is amazing to be able to witness that."

However, despite V's global fame, Park Hyung Sik reveals that V is still very much like a cute younger brother to him. "But to me, V is still my very cute younger brother. Whenever we meet up, we would joke around and have a lot of fun together," Park Hyung Sik said.

He added that V hasn't actually changed since the first time he met him! "He hasn't changed a single bit since the very first time that I met him. He is professional in terms of his work, but he is a normal boy just like everyone else," Park Hyung Sik concluded.

Meanwhile, V and Park Hyung Sik first met each other back in 2016 when they both starred in the KBS drama "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth," in which V made his acting debut.

Since then, the two have become very good friends, along with Park Seo Joon, who also starred in the drama. In addition, they are also part of the "Wooga Squad," which also includes Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, and Peakboy.

BTS V's 'Christmas Tree' Hits 60 Million Streams

In other news, BTS V's original soundtrack "Christmas Tree" has hit 60 million streams on Spotify. V had previously broke the record as the first K-Pop male soloist to surpass 40 million and 50 million streams on the platform, and has now recorded a new milestone in just 62 days of the song's release.

In addition, he is also the first K-Pop male soloist to enter Spotify's Global chart for the longest time at 30 days. "Christmas Tree" also landed at No. 1 on Spotify Korea's charts for two weeks in a row.

Meanwhile, the song is an original soundtrack for the SBS drama, "Our Beloved Summer," which stars V's friend, Choi Woo Shik.
