BTS Jimin's 'Serendipity' Becomes Eligible for Gold Certification in the United States
Recently on March 3, the full-length version of BTS Jimin's solo track "Serendipity," which was released back in August 2018 as part of the group's third Korean compilation album, "Love Yourself: Answer," has surpassed 500,000 units sold in the United States.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)'s certification standards, "Serendipity" is now eligible to receive a gold certification for hitting 500,000 unit sales.
This also means that "Serendipity" marks Jimin's second solo track to be able to do so, following his 2016 hit track "Lie," which was released as part of BTS' "Wings" album, surpassing 500,000 sales in the United States just last month, on February 11.
With "Lie" and "Serendipity" hitting a 500,000 sales figure, Jimin has become the first and only Korean solo artist with two of his solo tracks to do so in the world's largest music market, the United States.
Based on the current standings, there is only one other BTS member who has achieved more than 500,000 units sold with their solo track, and that's Jungkook and his song "Euphoria."

In addition, the full-length version of "Serendipity" has surpassed 184 million streams on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify.
