Oh My Girl YooA Tests Positive For COVID-19
On Saturday, March 5, Oh My Girl YooA used a self-diagnosis kit and learned that she's positive for the virus.
To confirm the accuracy of the result, YooA underwent RT-PCR testing, and the results also came back positive on March 6.
Her management, WM Entertainment, said Oh My Girl YooA will suspend all her activities and schedules until she recovers. They also said she already received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Oh My Girl YooA's positive COVID-19 diagnosis came in the heels of the K-pop group's comeback announcement.
Oh My Girl Teases 'Real Love'
On Monday, March 7, WM Entertainment dropped the first concept teaser for Oh My Girl's second full album, "Real Love."
The clip features an image of a perfume bottle with the words "Real Love" printed on it.
According to WM Entertainment, "Real Love" will be released on March 28, at 6 p.m. KST. This also serves as Oh My Girls' first comeback in about 10 months.
The group's eighth mini-album, "Dear OHMYGIRL," was released in May 2021.
Oh My Girl's Growth Through the Years
Oh My Girl has been in the music industry for seven years. They debuted in 2015 awith their self-titled EP. The group is made up of Arin, Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Yubin, Seunghee, and Jiho.
In June 2021, Oh My Girl opened up about their growth in the industry as singers and performers for years.
Hyojung said she and her members have grown as singers and performers since they debuted. She added that their experiences are usually reflected in the songs that they release.
Moreover, Hyojung narrated they have told their stories from various perspectives and situations to make their tracks as relatable and as unique as possible.
Seunghee acknowledged the fact that the music scene has changed a lot in the past couple of years. So, as members of Oh My Girl, they also needed to adapt to these changes.

At one point, Oh My Girl explored disco and retro sounds, which are genres they have never tried before.
Before releasing "Dear OHMYGIRL" last year, Miracles (Oh My Girl fandom) also had to wait for quite some time before hearing new music from their favorite girl group.
After all, Oh My Girl released "Nonstop" on April 27, 2020, so Miracles had to wait patiently for 11 months.
YooA admitted they missing their Miracles because it has been quite some time before they last saw each other.
