EXO Suho Comeback 2022: SM Entertainment Announces Idol's New Solo Album Release
EXO Suho has recently returned to the entertainment industry after being inactive for almost two years due to his mandatory military service. Now that he is finally back, many fans are anticipating new music from him.
The singer has been giving hints at his solo return with a new album since his military discharge this past February. One of the hints he gave is a mysterious teaser video.
Recently, his agency SM Entertainment gave an official announcement regarding it.

On March 10, a Korean outlet released an exclusive report that states Suho will release his second solo album in April 2022.
Shortly afterward, SM Entertainment released a statement to confirm the news. They said that EXO Suho is currently working on his solo album and aims to make a comeback in April.
"Please show lots of interest," the label added.
If EXO Suho's comeback will really takes place in April, it will mark his first music release in two years since he dropped his first mini-album "Self-Portrait" in March 2020.

EXO Suho's Solo Debut Ahead of Military Enlistment
On March 30, 2020, Suho dropped his first mini-album "Self-Portrait," which contains a total of six songs including the title track "Let's Love." The EXO member took part in writing the lyrics for all six tracks and was even the one who came up with the album's concept.
Although the songs included in the album seem to be about a love story, the lyrics touch on his experiences and the emotions he felt during his first eight years of being a K-pop idol.

The title song "Let's Love," which is also EXO's team slogan, is a modern rock genre that talks about having the courage to love even though this feeling is difficult to show.
On Gaon's weekly charts for the week of March 29 to April 4, EXO Suho attained double crown after ranking first on two different charts. "Self-Portrait" topped both the physical album chart, while "Let's Love" debuted at No. 1 on the download chart.
In addition to this, "Self-Portrait" swept the top spot on the iTunes Album chart in a total of 50 countries, including Sweden, Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica, Egypt, Israel, Norway, Argentina, Ukraine, Malaysia, and more. The album went on to rank first on both the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart and European iTunes Album Chart.

Suho's first mini-album also managed to rank first on domestic charts, such as Hanteo Chart, Kyobo Books, Sinnara Records, Yes24, and Aladdin.
"Let's Love" landed on various music charts as well. Aside from topping Korean domestic streaming sites like MelOn, the title track also entered at No. 12 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart, and No. 18 on the European iTunes Song Chart.
Additionally, the modern rock genre song took first place on the iTunes Song chart in at least 10 countries.
