Shuhua's Lines in (G)I-DLE's 'TOMBOY' Sparks Disappointment

After a year and two months, (G)I-DLE finally did a comeback with their first studio album, "I NEVER DIE," and its lead single, "TOMBOY." This marks (G)I-DLE's first comeback as a five-member group since Soojin's withdrawal in August 2021.

Leader Soyeon wrote and composed "TOMBOY". The song showcases (G)I-DLE's signature confidence and feminism.

Additionally, the song talks about independence and shattering the "perfect girlfriend" stereotype.

Besides the addictive melody and hook, many agree that the sound is a refreshing change for (G)I-DLE. People also love the girl crush image the (G)I-DLE members flaunted in the music video.

However, fans were disappointed in the group's line distribution. Many were under the impression that since Soojin was no longer in the group, Shuhua would have more lines.

Unfortunately, Shuhua continues to have fewer lines than the other four members.

Shuhua's voice is heard more now, yet people are upset she simply repeats one line. People believe this is unfair because Shuhua has shown tremendous improvement since (G)I-DLE's past comebacks. She also showed her ability on stage when (G)I-DLE performed without Soojin. Shuhua had to cover most of Soojin's lines.

Instead of giving Shuhua more lines, Soyeon ended up getting more lines instead. As the producer and composer, fans expected she should have done a better job in distributing lines among the members.

"Shuhua has put in so much effort, but her lines are so short. Even in their last performance, Shuhua performed Soojin's lines and did amazing."

"I thought Shuhua would get more lines since Soojin left the group, but they gave more to Soyeon instead."

"I feel sad that Shuhua did not get more lines this comeback."
