Prior to making her debut, the former face of SISTAR had always been naturally slim. This is thanks to her great genes! After making her debut with the group, Hyolyn revealed in the past that she gained 6kg to 7kg.
Due to Starship Entertainment's strict weight range for their idols and trainees, Hyolyn had to maintain a certain weight. Hence, she had to lose the weight she gained after making her debut.
After being in the entertainment industry for more than a decade and later leaving Starship Entertainment, Hyolyn does not restrict herself anymore. She maintains her weight out of her own free will. Her weight now ranges between 45kg to 49kg.
When it comes to Hyolyn's workout routine, her main form of exercise has always been dance practices, both when she was a SISTAR member and as a solo artist.

Over on her social media accounts, Hyolyn often posts videos of her dance practice sessions with other professional dancers. Not only that, but Hyolyn also teaches dance classes!

As previously mentioned, Starship Entertainment was very strict with their idols' diets. Hyolyn had once revealed that the label even goes as far as checking what they eat every meal and record their weights every day. Hyolyn does not even drink water before weigh-ins!
But now, Hyolyn has free reign on what she consumes and eats whatever she wants in moderation. She sticks to a protein-based diet along with carbs.
