Super Junior members recalled the iconic "Incheon Battle" between Leeteuk and Heechul. Just then, the leader confessed the fight was so intense that it almost cause their disbandment.
'Incheon Battle': Why Super Junior Almost Disbanded
On March 15, Super Junior members Leeteuk, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Siwon appeared in SBS entertainment, "Dolsing Fourmen" as special guests.
During the episode, the "Hallyu Kings" dominated the program with their tremendous energy, theatrics and hilarious anecdotes. But among their fun and entertaining stories, the reason for their almost disbandment captured the viewers' attention the most.
Super Junior will celebrate their 17th debut anniversary this year. As they have been together for almost two decades, the topic of disbandment was opened that prompted the group to recall their past fights.
During the broadcast, the members revealed one of the reasons they almost parted ways was due to Leeteuk and Heechul's big fight.

Dubbed as the "Incheon Battle," Leeteuk talked about the infamous fight:
"I almost fought (have a fistfight) with Kim Heechul and ended up disbanding. We were stressed out because we have opposite personalities, but during our Incheon concert, I pushed Kim Heechul and said, 'It's been 10 years.'"
Donghae especially emphasized that despite being the same-age friends, Leeteuk is fully responsible for the members. Heechul, on the other hand, has a carefree character.
Leeteuk explained he has been waiting for Heechul to take one thing (responsibility) but his pent-up emotions exploded at that time.
"I meant I endured it for 10 years, and I eventually went out because it might lead to a physical fight."
Hilariously, the fight happened just before their performance, and since it was live, they had no choice but to continue their performance. Leeteuk went on:
"We went up to the stage while still fighting, but during the part where we have to stand and dance back-to-back, we sang apart from each other."
They continued that Leeteuk started the fight and pushed Heechul twice. The latter idol repeatedly said the words, "Come down."
Eunhyuk, who was a witness at that time, clarified:
"They were holding each other, but they didn't hit each other even once."
Super Junior Looks Back at Ryeowook's Famous Line 'I'm Confident' During Fight With Siwon
On the same day, the "Sorry Sorry" singers also had a good time recalling the behind story of the legendary line, "I'm confident!"
According to members, the fight started due to Siwon's love for physical contact and Ryeowook's cautious personality.
During a concert, they argued on how the latter idol would not accept Siwon's high five.
Annoyed, Siwon asked Ryeowook:
"Are you confident that you won't see me?"
In response, the idol shouted:
"Yes, I'm confident!"
Despite frequent fights with members, Super Junior remains strong. The group is soon to celebrate their 17th year together.
On February 28, the nine-member group dropped their special single album, "The Road: Winter for Spring." They started promoting the release through various programs and radio appearances.
