Red Velvet Members Test Positive for COVID-19

On March 14, Red Velvet members Irene, Joy, and Yeri tested positive for COVID-19. The members used COVID-19 self-test kits. After testing positive, they double-checked and confirmed the results with a PCR test. Seulgi and Wendy also took tests and tested negative.

The members had completed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. They are currently self-isolating at home and are not experiencing any symptoms.

Red Velvet's concert, "2022 The ReVe Festival : Prologue," was initially scheduled for March 19 and 20. However, the show was postponed after the members' tested positive.

All tickets were refunded. The management will announce new concert dates after reviewing the health of the Red Velvet members.

Red Velvet Yeri Posts Hilarious Update After Testing Positive for COVID-19

Following Yeri's positive COVID-19 results, the female idol took to Bubble to update fans in the funniest way.

On March 17, Yeri sent fans a surprising and hilarious message in English. The idol told fans, "I got f*ck*ng COVID, yeah that's just life, baby."

She sent the message with a series of upside-down smiling emojis, showing her feelings about contracting the virus.

In Korean, she also sent fans the message, "Luvies, just wait! Let us fight against f*ck*ng corona(virus), win, and tear it all up!"

Many found it hilarious that Yeri cursed COVID-19 in her messages, showing her exasperation and frustration over the virus. People wish she recovers soon and that she "tears up" the stage with her energy.

Others found it refreshing that an idol cursed the virus out. It shows Yeri's authenticity and relatability as a public figure.

This is not Yeri's first time updating fans after testing positive for COVID-19. When the news first broke out, Yeri took to Bubble to tell fans about her situation. She revealed how she contracted the virus and the symptoms she was experiencing.

In her message, she told fans, "Luvies, I'm sorry you had to hear this kind of news. While preparing for the concert, a staff member from the salon got infected, so we all contracted it. It's so sad that we cannot do the concert. I am very sorry."
