TWICE Sets Record for Most No. 1s on Oricon's Weekly Album Chart with Best Album '#TWICE4'

According to an announcement made by Japan's Oricon Chart on March 22 KST, JYP Entertainment's girl group, TWICE, and their fourth Japanese best album "#TWICE4" landed at the top of the chart's weekly album rankings after accumulating 66,000 points in its first week of release.

Released on March 16 in Japan, "#TWICE4" rising atop Oricon's Weekly Album Chart marks the group's eighth time ranking at No. 1 on the said chart, following TWICE's third Japanese best album released back in September 2020, "#TWICE3."

With TWICE landing their eighth No. 1 on the chart, this means that the girl group has set a new record for the most No. 1s on Oricon's Weekly Album Chart among female foreign artists.

In the previous week, TWICE's "#TWICE4" had recorded 45,542 points on Oricon's Daily Album Chart dated March 15, allowing the group to snag first place on the chart and proving its rising popularity.

Meanwhile, TWICE's best album "#TWICE4" features the Japanese versions of several of their hit singles, such as "I Can't Stop Me," "Cry for Me," "Alcohol-Free," and "SCIENTIST." Following its release, the Japanese versions received a lot of love from fans, especially from ONCEs, the group's fandom.
