Jay Park Receives Hate After Collab With K-pop Idols For 'GANADARA' Dance Challenge
On March 11, Korean-American rapper Jay Park released his first single under his newly established label MORE VISION.
"GANADARA" is a track he collaborated with IU. Since its release, the male rapper has been promoting the song through SNS, such as on TikTok and Instagram.
In particular, it is a trend in the K-pop scene to collaborate with other idols to do a dance challenge of their new release. In line with this, Jay Park also met other artists like STAYC, (G)I-DLE Soyeon, GOT7 Jay B, SEVENTEEN Vernon and Hoshi, among others.
While a lot of fans were delighted to see younger idols interacting with the second-generation star, this does not sit well with everyone.

Jay Park Claps Back: 'If you're a fan, you shouldn't bully the person you're a fan of'
Initially, the "Mommae" singer kept mum amid the hateful remarks. This time, Jay Park decided to call his hates out, realizing the impact to the other artist when his name trended on Twitter, "dragging" Mingi.
The K-Hip Hop star particularly asked people to stop bullying their idols for liking him, saying:
Whether ppl like it or not i inspire alot of their favorite idols. just cause they cheer me on doesnt mean you should take it out on them. If your a fan you shouldnt bully the person your a fan of. Think bout how that makes them feel.

The "My House" singer also emphasized he's used to haters coming for him on his own page; thus, they should not drag other idols by commenting on their pages.
Apparently, ATEEZ's post with Jay Park also drew negative comments from other internet users.
Should come do it on my page if that what makes u feel better. Im used to it. Anyways peace and love to all π―

In response, Jay Park's fans defended him and clarified that the idol didn't "force" Mingi since the junior artist himself is a fan of Jay Park.
Upon realizing discord between fandoms, the founder of AOMG and H1GHR Music wrote to his Korean fans not to fight back.
"If you’re my fan, I hope you would not curse back at the same level as them, no matter what they say. I'm blessed and living a thankful life diligently. Please do the same. I hope you will just focus more and pursue a perspective based on reality, not the internet. I can understand what you feel but suppress it. Peace!"
