BTS Jungkook's Privacy Gets Invaded in Tourist Map of a Busan Village
On March 23, Korean newspaper Busan Illbo reported that the Yeonsan Village Social Welfare Center, located in the Yeonje District in Busan, and the Yeonje District Community Security Council had issued a map of Yeonsan Village back in 2021.
In the map, it features several major tourist attractions, public parks, and schools, among others. However, both the social welfare center and the security council have come under fire. It was revealed that the former home of BTS member Jungkook's grandmother was also included as a tourist attraction on the map.
It was captioned saying, "The house where BTS Jungkook's grandmother used to live."
As of now, his grandmother's former home is not occupied by new tenants.
On their decision to include Jungkook's grandmother's home, the Yeonsan Village Social Welfare Center said, "When we were drawing up the village map, it was suggested that we should not only include simple information, but also interested elements. So we decided to include locations that are related to idol stars."

However, it was also revealed that the inclusion of his grandmother's home was done without informing and receiving consent from Jungkook, BTS, or the villagers of Yeonsan.
The residents of the village have made complaints regarding the map and voiced their criticism. They cited this incident as an invasion of privacy and a nuisance. Tourists have been constantly coming to ask for the former home of Jungkook's grandmother.
One village resident said to the media, "I don't know where the location of the home is, but young people keep coming and asking for its location. It is rude to the locals to mark a general residential area on the village map as the residence of a famous singer's grandmother."

They have also criticized the disclosure of the home without prior consent just because it was related to a celebrity.
A resident said, "From the standpoint of supporting BTS, it feels great to have traces of the singer from where they live. But it is inconvenient for everyone for visitors to roam around ordinary residential areas without consent and go to places where their relatives used to live."
