In the trailer of the soon-to-be-released documentary, "MMM_Where Are We Now," former Fin.K.L Lee Hyori revealed why MAMAMOO is different from other girl groups she met.
On March 25, Wavve's idol documentary, "MMM_Where Are We Now" featuring MAMAMOO will finally be unveiled exclusively on the platform.
Ahead of its premiere, a video teaser was released on Mar. 22. It features the quartet and special guest Lee Hyori.
Former Fin.K.L Hyori Praises MAMAMOO – What Makes Quartet Different Among Other Girl Groups?
In the teaser, "Nation's Fairy" and former Fin.K.L Lee Hyori appeared as a special guest and representative of senior girl groups.
The K-pop icon then briefly revealed that MAMAMOO is undoubtedly unique in its own ways, compared to other girl groups.
"Girl groups sometimes have a mechanical feeling on stage, but MAMAMOO doesn't have that feeling and they look free when performing."

In context, Hyori hinted at the systematic training idols went through. Thus, female idols sometimes give off a "mechanical" vibe. This refers to the lackluster and manufactured routines that lack "passion" or feelings.
On contrary, MAMAMOO who also underwent the same training did not lose their colors and can still show their real selves on stage.
At the same time, idol choreographer and dancer Jun Hyojung, in charge of MAMAMOO's planning and training attested to this and added:
"When we first met, I was embarrassed but they were free-spirited at the first meeting. I was puzzled."
MAMAMOO Describes Relationship with Members as 'Family'
In the trailer, the members also recalled the seven years they had lived as a team. Overcoming the "7-year curse" in K-pop, the quartet expressed true feelings, saying:
"It was possible because the members were there."
"I was happy and blessed."
"It was seven years that made me think a lot."
In addition, the "AYA" singer also told stories that were difficult to tell, such as:
"The members felt like a family, but sometimes they were neglected."
"I feel like we have changed as we have a lot of things to care about."
I think I've lost some gratitude for the small things."
The meaning behind these lines will be revealed on the premiere of Wavve Original's "MMM_Where are we now" on March 25.
Wavve hinted at the flow of the documentary, saying:
"MAMAMOO has contained what they want to tell this generation, which is heading for an uncertain future beyond looking back on the girl group's seven-year history.
It will be a work that gives special comfort through the appearance of the four people wisely overcoming the crisis.
On the other hand, the show will be a four-part (120-minute) documentary. It will show the entire process of MAMAMOO's debut. It will showcase the group's plight from the "underdog" to the most talented girl group in Korea.
