Amid military service, SHINee Taemin trended on Twitter and online Korean communities after netters noticed that the idol made an appearance in Lee Minho's new drama, "Pachinko." Here's what really happened.
On March 25, Apple TV+'s new drama series, "Pachinko" was finally released on various streaming platforms. In particular, the drama was adapted from the 2017 novel with the same name. Even prior to its premiere, the show received huge attention for its star-studded cast which includes Youn Yuh Jung, Lee Minho, new actress Kim Min Ha, more.
Upon its release, "Pachinko" received rave reviews from viewers. However, K-pop enthusiasts recognized that SHINee Taemin actually made his short cameo in the most elegant way.
SHINee Taemin Surprises Fans With His Hands Cameo in 'Pachinko'
On the same day, a video titled "Pachinko — Opening Title Sequence" was posted on Apple TV+'s official YouTube channel.
In the video, a certain person's hands were seen moving elegantly while the main actors appear and dance in front of the Pachinko machine. Photos set in the past Japanese colonial era pass by like a panorama in the clip aswell.
When K-pop fans watched the video, suspicions have been raised that it was actually SHINee Taemin's hands. The male idol's speculated hands were shown for not more than a minute, but it was enough for Shawols (SHINee fandom) to notice the resemblance.
Fans who saw this claimed:
"Isn't it Taemin's hand?"
"It's a scene from Taemin's 'WANT' music video."
For context, Taemin is popular among fans for his tiny hands that move elegantly when he danced. In fact, the "ADVICE" singer even released a hand mold object as part of the official MD set prior to his enlistment in May last year.

Non-fans then left comments such as:
"It's amazing that they recognized it."
"I wonder if they bought the copyright or used it without permission."
"Of course, they would have consulted with Apple."
"So it is really Taemin's hands?"
Well, it seems like SHINee Taemin indeed made a cameo in "Pachinko" – in the most surprising way!
