AKB48 Honda Hitomi's Status in Japan Receives Mixed Opinions for THIS Reason
On April 6, the recent situation of Honda Hitomi, a former member of the popular girl group IZ*ONE attracted attention from netters.
The concerns started after an article was posted on online communities titled, "How Honda Hitomi Has Been Back in Japan."
The writer wrote:
"Honda Hitomi is said to be appearing in various entertainment programs in Japan."
In particular, Hitomi in 2019 debuted on IZ*ONE as a K-pop idol. Unfortunately, the group disbanded after about two and half years after its contract expired in April last year.

After parting ways with the group, the female star returned to Japan as a member of AKB48. Some fans expressed regrets that she did not pursue her career in Korea just like Miyawaki Sakura. She will join HYBE's new girl group LE SSERAFIM. WIZ*ONE (IZ*ONE fandom) were still happy that she is gaining more recognition in her hometown.
In February, the "FIESTA" singer actually delivered good news on her Instagram, saying:
"I achieved my long dream about eight years after my debut. I took the center position in AKB48's fifth single album, which will be released on May 18."
With this, fans are assured that her career in Japan is now going well.
However, the recent post made some fans and internet users change their minds. In context, along with the post, photos of the K-pop idol from AKB48 LIVE SHOW" which aired on April 3 were attached.
In the program, AKB48 members are seen participating in a game in which they were sitting on a chair and stop the approaching man who is sticking out his butt, closest to them.
As soon as it was uploaded, Korean netizens who saw this expressed their shock and discomfort. Although both cultures were different, K-Netz still expressed their honest opinions and said:
"Japan still has such a program?"
"I hope you come back to Korea."
"What do you do when you are a group center?"
"I can feel that the members hate it just by looking at your expression."

On the other hand, after disbandment, the members also went on with their individual paths and careers.
While J-line Hitomi and Nako return to Japan, their former IZ*ONE co-members Sakura and Chaewon were preparing for their debut in LE SSERAFIM in May.
The group's leader Kwon Eunbi then debuted as a soloist, same with Yena and Yuri.
Minju and Hyewon, both visuals of the group, decided to take a different route and debuted as actresses instead.
As for the maknae line Yujin and Wonyoung, they re-debuted as IVE launched by Starship Entertainment.
Lastly, Chaeyeon, the main dancer of the team recently drew huge attention for joining "Street Woman Fighter." Rumor says she's preparing to debut in a girl group but is yet to be confirmed.
