Jeongyeon Seen as Volunteer Alongside Her Older Sister at an Animal Shelter After TWICE's US Tour
Earlier this April, one animal shelter located in Gyeonggi-do uploaded a series of photos to its official Instagram account. Some of the pictures show TWICE Jeongyeon and her older sister, Gong Seungyeon, working as volunteers.
In the images, the siblings can be seen interacting and taking care of the dogs at the shelter.
Their visit to the animal shelter came after TWICE completed the North American leg of their fourth world tour "III," which took place from feb 15 to 27. The group held shows in five different cities, such as Los Angeles, Oakland, Dallas, Atlanta, and New York City.
Instead of taking a break to regain her strength after her continuous concerts, TWICE Jeongyeon decided to spend her time at the animal shelter.
This is not the first time that the siblings became volunteers at the shelter. They regularly visit the place, cleaning the spaces and feeding the dogs throughout the dog.
Reportedly, TWICE Jeongyeon and her older sister often provide temporary care to many rescue dogs ever since they started living together recently.
Netizens who saw the posts of the animal shelter were touched by the kind gestures of Jeongyeon and Seungyeon.
TWICE's "Fancy" Becomes Group's First Song to Reach THIS on Spotify
In other news, TWICE's "Fancy" has achieved an impressive number of streams on Spotify.
On April 11, "Fancy" has ultimately hit 300 million streams on Spotify, becoming the group's very first track to do so.
TWICE's "Fancy" came out back in April 2019 as the title song of the band's seventh mini-album "Fancy You." The track took two years and 11 months to attain 300 million streams.
To recall, "Fancy" is also the group's first song to accumulate 200 million streams on Spotify. It is also the band's second and fastest track to hit 100 million streams.
What's more, TWICE's "Fancy" became the group's fourth and fastest music video to reach 500 million views on YouTube.
The "Fancy" MV hit the 500 million views on March 15 at 3:30 a.m. KST. It was uploaded on April 22, 2019 at 6 p.m. KST, so this means it took two years, 10 months, and 22 days to achieve the feat. It has now overtaken "What Is Love?" as the group's fastest MV to do so.
Moreover, "Fancy" is TWICE's fourth music video to garner 500 million views on YouTube, following "TT," "What Is Love" and "Likey."
The "Fancy" MV reached 400 million views less than a year ago on March 19, 2021.
Meanwhile, TWICE will hold an encore concert for their fourth world tour "III" at the Banc California Stadium in Los Angeles. This makes them not only the first female K-pop artist to hold a stadium concert in the United States, but also the second K-pop act in history to do so, following BTS.
TWICE's encore concert in Los Angeles will take place on Saturday, May 14.
