GOT7 Jackson Shows His Respect for BTS & BLACKPINK
On April 15, Variety published an interview with Jackson Wang, a member of the K-pop group GOT7. There, he voiced his admiration for his colleagues in the K-pop industry, specifically BTS and BLACKPINK!

During the interview, Jackson Wang spoke about his recently released single, "Blow," from his upcoming album "Magic Man." Jackson Wang opened up about his thoughts on the K-pop industry's rising popularity worldwide as he spoke. The idol then noted how proud he is of fellow idols BTS and BLACKPINK, voicing out his respect for them.
When talking about releasing music in languages other than English, Jackson responded, "Music is music. What does it have to do with nationality?" He stated that if it is good, it is good and if it is bad, then it is bad.

He added, "Entertainment has nothing to do with any other stuff because entertainment is entertainment. It is supposed to make people happy."
He then mentioned BTS and BLACKPINK, saying, "Artists like BTS [and] like BLACKPINK, I respect them in art. The direction they are going, me as an audience watching them, I am proud."

Jackson then stated that K-pop is not good because it is K-pop; instead, it is good because it is good music. He added that he thinks K-pop will definitely last forever and that it will keep evolving through time.

On April 16, Jackson Wang became the first Chinese singer to ever perform in the Coachella main stage. The idol performed "100 Ways, "Blow," and a new, unreleased song, "Cruel." The idol performed as part of 88rising's "Head in the Clouds" line-up alongside other top Asian artists, such as Rich Brian, NIKI, Millie, and BIBI.

On March 31, 2022, Jackson Wang released the all-English single, "Blow." The song is a pre-release to his upcoming full-length album, "Magic Man."
In August 2021, Jackson Wang formed the hip-hop group Panthepack under his label, Team Wang. The group consists of himself, Ice, J.SHeon, and Karencici. The group debuted with the single, "Buzz," on August 28, 2021. They then released their debut album, "The Pack," in September of that year.
