2NE1 Reunites for Surprise Performance at the 2022 Coachella
Recently on April 16 local time, former 2NE1 member CL lit up the stage when she performed at the 2022 Coachella as part of 88rising's "Head In The Clouds Forever" stage.
However, festival-goers were given an unexpected surprise when CL was joined by her fellow 2NE1 members Park Bom, Sandara Park, and Minzy. They gave a heart-stopping performance of their hit song "I Am The Best."
2NE1's reunion performance marks the group's first time performing as a whole group in seven years, following their official disbandment back in 2016.
In fact, prior to their disbandment, 2NE1 also surprised the world when they performed for the first time together once again during the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). They also performed "I Am The Best."
Since then, many have been hoping for new music from the group, which was ultimately crushed when they announced their disbandment not long after.
Despite their disbandment, the members have often spoken about reuniting and making new music together in the future.

Following their Coachella performance, the members returned to their solo activities. Park Bom and Sandara Park returned to South Korea.
The group's leader, CL, also talked about their surprise reunion and the reason behind it on her latest post through her Instagram account.
Not long after, Minzy also spoke to media outlet Star News on April 18 to talk about the reunion.
Minzy said, "It was nice to see the faces of so many spectators while performing at a big event with the members after a long time. It was a moment where I felt so many different emotions."
She then expressed her gratitude to fans for their enthusiastic cheers for 2NE1's performance. She said, "I thought that they would like [the performance] because it was prepared for the fans who have been waiting for us for a long time. But on the other hand, I was also worried that they might have forgotten us. Still, they showed so much support and interested that I am very thankful."
