During the interview with W Korea, IVE Rei mentioned an SM artist as she talked about why she went to Korea.
W Korea said, "Not long ago, you gave Red Velvet Joy a picture you drew yourself. You also dreamed of becoming a singer while watching Red Velvet."
Joy received the drawing from Rei this past March. The drawing, which the IVE member made herself, is a portrait of Joy.
Rei responded, "I decided to come to Korea from Japan after seeing the performance of Red Velvet sunbaenim. It's like a dream. I'm happy."

IVE Rei went on to say that she have never studied drawing professionally, but she sometimes draw people around her while carrying a pad.
As many fans know, Rei is a big fan of Red Velvet and Joy is her bias. She has been open about being a fan of Joy since she made her debut in December of last year.
The "ELEVEN" singer once confessed that Red Velvet Joy inspired her to become a singer. Joy's photo was even spotted in her phone case in the past.
