Sandara Park Wants to Sing THIS Song to Fans But She Can't - Here's the Reason
On April 29, fashion magazine VOGUE Korea uploaded a new video of their interview with former 2NE1 Dara to its YouTube channel.
The interview is focused on what Sandara Park does before she sleeps. The "Fire" singer shared that she enjoys listening to music because it calms her mind and makes her feel relaxed.
Later on, Dara read a part of the lyrics of "Thanks" by singer Kim Dong Ryul out loud.

The track went, "I'll truly love myself so that nobody would feel ashamed for saying that I'm theirs. I'll make sure to love you lots so that I'll never regret not loving you enough."
It continues, "I think I finally know why I was born into this world. It was to meet and love you until death do us part. Someone gave me this opportunity for me to be happy."
After reading the lyrics, Sandara Park told VOGUE Korea that she reads the lyrics of Kim Dong Ryul's "Thanks" in a tone that best suits the time of the day.
She added, "It's a song that is filled with the kind of stuff that I want to say to all my fans."

Dara further said, "Actually, when 2NE1 disbanded, a lot of our fans were heartbroken. Despite that, they always gave me great support and energy by telling me, 'Dara, be confident! You can do it!"
Park went on to say that whenever the fans say those encouraging words to her, she wanted to sing Kim Dong Ryul's "Thanks" to them. "I didn't want them to feel ashamed of being my fan, a 2NE1 fan," she continued.
However, as much as Sandara Park wants to sing that song to Blackjack (2NE1's fandom), she actually can't. Why? It's because the track's key doesn't fit her voice.
"I'm a little sad that I can't sing the song for them, as it's too low for me, but I'm happy that I was able to read the lyrics to them myself today," former 2NE1 Dara shared.

The "I Don't Care" singer then delivered a message to the fans, saying, "I'll do my best at all times so that you never feel embarrassed to say that you're my fan. I love you guys."
Meanwhile, 2NE1 made their debut in 2009 and disbanded seven years later in 2016 following the expiration of some of the members' exclusive contracts with YG Entertainment. But it was found out in late 2021 that the girl group only learned about their disbandment through reports.
