Among the Japanese singles released by K-pop artists, only one has ever managed to spend 100 weeks on the Oricon Singles Chart. This means that Stray Kids' "TOP' is the second one in history to achieve the feat.
The only other Japanese single by a Korean act to do so is SEVENTEEN's "Happy Ending," which was released back in May 2019.
As of Jan. 8 this year, Stray Kids' "TOP" had spent 83 weeks on Oricon and was already running behind SEVENTEEN's "Happy Ending" which had recorded 103 weeks at that time. "Happy Ending" went on to reach its 104th day on the Japanese singles chart (as of May 4).
With Stray Kids' "TOP" now coming second to "Happy Ending," it is now followed by SEVENTEEN's "Falling Flower" (71 weeks), TWICE's "Wake Me Up" (66 weeks), TWICE's "One More Time" (65 weeks), and TXT's "MAGIC HOUR" (61 weeks).

At the time "TOP" arrived, it quickly soared to No. 1 on Oricon's daily singles chart (dated June 2) with estimated sales of 20,657. One the same day, the single occupied the top 3 spots on Tower Records' daily sales chart with its different versions (Korean, English, and Japanese).
"TOP" also managed to hold on to its position at No. 1 on the daily charts for June 3, 5, and 6.
It later ranked first on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart for June 1 to 7 with approximately 37,000 sales. This made Stray Kids the fourth foreign male artist to reach the top of the chart with their first single, following EXO with "Love Me Right ~ romantic universe ~," iKON with "DUMB&DUMBER" and Jang Geun Suk with "Let me cry."
