Winter's Remark Spark Speculation on a New aespa Member
Internet users speculate that aespa may be adding a fifth member to their line-up following Winter's accidental remark during a radio interview.
On May 11, an internet user took to an online community forum to discuss the possibility. They posted a post titled, "Wow. It must be true that aespa will be adding a new member."

In the post, they mentioned that there were rumors a trainee named Ara would be joining aespa. However, the said trainee made an Instagram account, which caused many to believe she left SM Entertainment.
However, earlier this year, Ara deleted her Instagram. As a result, people wondered if she became a trainee under a new company or re-join SM Entertainment.

The user included a YouTube Shorts video clip of Winter during a radio interview. In the clip, the aespa member is heard saying, "Now, with a new person's ae..." She then appeared shocked at her own words and did not complete her sentence.
This has sparked speculation that Ara would be added to the line-up, which opens up the possibility that more members will be included in aespa's line-up. Some even speculated that they would be adding three more members to spell out Kwangya, with Karina being the K, Winter the W, Ningning the N, and Giselle the G.

Comments concerning the possibility of a new addition to aespa read:
"Please be pretty."
"Ningning is perfect as the maknae, though. Is it because they are trying to lower aespa's average age?"
"I feel like her image will overlap with Giselle's. If her dance skills aren't on Lee Jung's level, then her position in aespa will be ambiguous."
"Why? The era of constantly adding new members has passed."
