Girls' Generation to Make OT8 Comeback for 15th Anniversary
SONEs, make some noise! Girls' Generation will finally be making a full group comeback to celebrate their 15th anniversary.

On May 17, 2022, SM Entertainment announced that Girls' Generation is gearing for a new album release in August. The album will be released to celebrate Girls' Generation's 15th anniversary since their debut in 2007.
This will be Girls' Generation's first comeback with all eight members in five years.

Along with the new album's release, Girls' Generation will also reunite with fans through various TV program appearances, as well as their own reality show.
Details on the album and the specific release date have yet to be released.

Girls' Generation's Last Musical Release
Girls' Generation's last comeback was their ninth studio album (sixth Korean-language studio album), "Holiday Night." The album was released to celebrate their tenth anniversary.

"Holiday Night" debuted at the top of the Billboard World Albums Chart. In South Korea, it peaked at number two on the Gaon Album Chart.
"Holiday Night" surpassed "The Boys" as Girls' Generation's fastest-selling Korean album in the first week, selling 90,000 copies. The said album sold over 167,000 copies by the end of 2017. It was the 18th best-selling album of 2017 in South Korea.

The album contained two singles: "Holiday" and "All Night." "Holiday" debuted at number 19 on the Gaon Digital Chart, while "All Night" debuted at number 35.
Two months after, in October 2017, it was announced that Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun did not renew their contracts with SM Entertainment, officially leaving the company. However, they continue to be part of Girls' Generation.

Following the departure of Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun from Girls' Generation, the members still under SM Entertainment formed the sub-unit SNSD-Oh!GG. The sub-unit debuted in September 2018 with the single "Lil' Touch."
