We Grooved with GROOVL1N: 2022 GROOVL1N U.S. Tour in NEW YORK!

If you were looking for a place to groove on May 14, 2022, look no further than the New York stop of the 2022 GROOVL1N U.S. Tour, where Ravi and Xydo of GROOVL1N took to the stage of Le Poisson Rouge for a night of fun, excitement, and endless love for their fans. Let’s dive into the New York stop of GROOVL1N’s tour!

XYDO, who debuted under GROOVL1N as a singer and producer in 2019, kicked off the night with a set full of love for his fans and the perfect mix of charisma and cuteness. His initial greetings — “Hello New York! Welcome to the GROOVL1N show!” — had the crowd erupting in cheers. The singer showed off his vocals with “Drawing,” the sweetest serenade to start off the night!

In a venue as intimate and cozy as Le Poisson Rouge, Xydo could take the time to really connect with his audience. With songs like “Spotlight” and “Me Without You,” he reveled in the moments where he could sing to fans and hear them sing back to him, and bounce along to the grooviest of beats. That excitement was what fueled his smile.

"One day I heard about [the] tour, and I was so excited!" Xydo shared during his self-introduction, “We're finally here, right?" And being there in that moment with Xydo was what everyone was waiting for, if their cheers in response were any indication.

The fans that filled LPR met all of Xydo’s enthusiasm step for step, singing along to the opening lines of “Paradigm” and every line of “#OOTD.” The fan favorites of “FREE” and “BETTING,” with their high energy and upbeat vibes, were the perfect way to close off Xydo’s set.

Those at the concert were barely given a second to catch their breath before the next set — RAVI entered the stage with his rapid-fire raps, getting the crowd to wave and clap along to tracks from his 2022 album release LOVE & FIGHT.

“I’m so happy, really happy,” Ravi said between songs, all smiles and sweat from his energetic performance. “These songs are really popular songs, and thanks to all of you, we could start off cool like this!”

Ravi showed off his years of stage performances with the comfortable way he could rile up the crowd, getting everyone excited. His fans showered him with love in return! For “Flower Garden” and “Roses,” he danced cutely with fans, looked out at them with love, and was as playful as he could be. Some fans even brought him roses and held them up in celebration of his Roses album.

Some brief moments we loved from Ravi’s performance: him taking a water bottle and splashing water over the crowd, every time he harmonized with his own backing track (a rapper and a vocalist!), and the way he serenaded his fans with eye contact and love. Who else is doing it like Ravi? Clearly, no one.

If Xydo and Ravi were cute in their individual sets, their charisma was exponentially more powerful together: they jumped around, harmonized together, and Xydo even took a gift of a signed U.S. flag from fans to wrap around his shoulders through it all. The encore, too, was filled with love for their fans as they reprised everyone’s favorite songs together: “Tuxedo,” “#OOTD,” “Mint Chocolate,” and more.

If you were looking for grooves, we found them at the New York stop of the GROOVL1N tour, across the many picture-perfect moments of Xydo and Ravi’s performances. They kicked off their tour with so much excitement — make sure to head to the tour stop near you, and to keep supporting GROOVL1N!
