Amid school violence allegations against Kim Garam, a famous lawyer B questioned HYBE/Source Music for choosing idol to join LE SSERAFIM's lineup despite THIS reason.
Lawyer Conveys Legal Views on LE SSERAFIM's Kim Garam School Violence Issue
On May 20, lawyer B took to Twitter to express his insights about the recent controversy involving Kim Garam of LE SSERAFIM, who debuted under HYBE.
In particular, B's views was a response to Victim A's side revealed through Daeryun law firm which says:
"On June 4, 2018, the School Violence Countermeasures Committee was held, and Kim Garam, a student who committed school violence, received six hours of special education according to Article 17 (1) 5 of the Act on the Prevention and Countermeasures of School Violence."

In the case of the 5th measure of the School Violence Committee received by Kim Garam, it is widely believed that there was a judgment that the intensity of the school violence was that serious.
In regards to this, the lawyer said:
"Experienced simple assault is dealt with (measures) between No. 1 and No. 3, and it is shocking that (Kim Garam) received the 5th measure."
B continued:
"Special Education No. 5 of the School Violence Committee will remain on the student record for two years even after graduation unless we appoint a lawyer to file an administrative lawsuit to erase it."
Due to this, the lawyer was confused and skeptical about how the "FEARLESS" singer was selected to join the group's lineup if she have this on her records.
B implied:
"If the agency received her student record, it will be still there, so how did she make her debut? Did she appoint a lawyer and delete it at graduation? It's so amazing that she was selected as an idol trainee even though she received the 5th measure. "
B, who has participated in the school violence committee himself, said it is rare for (the committee) to give such serious measures.
B explained:
"In fact, elementary and secondary schools are too young to become victims and perpetrators, and it is a big burden for them to decide on the disposition of their student records, so they hope that they will grow up and that their children will get better."
I've seen a case where forced harassment was also carried out and verbal sexual harassment was also carried out, but I can't believe I saw the 5th measure on the news."
HYBE Announces Kim Garam's Temporary Break From LE SSERAFIM's Activities
Meanwhile, Kim Garam's agency, HYBE and Source Music, claimed that victim A started the discord with Kim's friend after sharing the latter's private photo without her consent.

The agency's position is that Kim Garam and a friend were subjected to the school violence committee and were penalized, while A moved to a new school without getting any punishment.
In regards to Kim Garam, the agency announced that the female idol who has been attacked by all kinds of rumors and is having psychological difficulties, will stop her activities for the time being to heal, and LE SSERAFIM plans to work as a five-member system for the time being.
