ASTRO Cha Eunwoo Once Dumped By His Girlfriend - Here's What He Did Afterward
On the May 22 episode of SBS's variety program "Running Man," Cha Eunwoo appeared as a special guest along with his fellow ASTRO members Moonbin and Sanha.
At some points during the broadcast, the cast members and guests played the "Never Have I Ever" game, and that's when Cha Eunwoo left everyone shocked by sharing his past love story that took place when he was still in high school.
The "Blue Flame" singer revealed, "When I was in high school, I was dumped by my girlfriend."

He further surprised the "Running Man" cast and his bandmates by adding that he cried and also begged her to take him back after they broke up. When asked what happened following that, ASTRO Cha Eunwoo said that he and his girlfriend eventually got back together.
Following the broadcast of the latest "Running Man" episode, Cha Eunwoo's remarks quickly spread on social media and various online communities, garnering lots of attention from netizens. Some of the comments are, "She's one lucky girl!" "Who dumped Cha Eunwoo? You can come to me anytime," "I'm really curious who she is," "I wish I was her," and "aww, high school sweethearts."

This is not the first time ASTRO Cha Eunwoo talked about his love story from his past. Back in 2018, he appeared on "HappyTogether" and revealed that he had only one romantic relationship back then.
He also shared that he was the first one to confess to the girl. However, he was unsure of how to say it or express his feelings, so he ended up asking her "What do you think of me?"
When asked what response he received, the male idol said, "She suddenly asked, 'What about you? What do you think of me?'" to which he answered, "I like you."
Unfortunately, Cha Eunwoo and his girlfriend only dated for a short period. He explained, "Being a trainee and all, I wasn't able to see her often."
ASTRO Makes Comeback With "Drive to the Starry Road"
In other news, ASTRO returned to the music scene on May 16 with their third studio album "Drive to the Starry Road," which features the title song "Candy Sugar Pop."
Containing lyrics written by Moonbin, JinJin, and Rocky, ASTRO's "Candy Sugar Pop" is a sweet and lively song wherein the boys sing the phrase "candy sugar pop" as a nickname for their lover.
On May 18 at 7:30 a.m. KST, "Drive to the Starry Road" scored No. 1 on iTunes Album charts in at least 12 countries, while "Candy Sugar Pop" hit No. 1 on iTunes Song charts in 11 regions.

At the same time, ASTRO's third studio album also reached No. 1 on iTunes K-pop Album charts in 15 countries, while the title song ranked first on iTunes K-pop Song charts in 17 regions.
Moreover, "Drive to the Starry Road" debuted at No. 4 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, while "Candy Sugar Pop" entered at No. 22 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart.
In South Korea, ASTRO's "Candy Sugar Pop" landed at No. 12 on Bugs and No. 109 on Genie at 7 p.m. KST on May 16.
