Amid LE SSERAFIM Kim Garam's school violence controversy, people recalled former (G)I-DLE Soojin's case which resulted in THIS theory.
Soojin - Garam Similarities as Idols
On May 24, K-pop fans' interest was captured by a "parallel theory" involving former (G)I-DLE Seo Soojin and LE SSERAFIM Kim Garam.
According to them, the two female idols have many similarities in various aspects, leading to curiosity about whether Garam's career will end up just like Soojin's.

First, Soojin and Garam both received initial attention from K-pop fans when they were introduced for their visuals. According to some, they have the same aura.
Aside from their physical aspects, Soojin and Garam also made their debut on the same date - May 2.
Soojin first debuted as (G)I-DLE in 2018 and was the main dancer and sub-vocal for the group, while Garam joined LE SSERAFIM's debut in 2022, exactly four years later.
Similarities Between Soojin and Garam's School Violence Cases Draw Attention
Despite initial popularity, the two idols were, unfortunately, both embroiled in school violence controversies, leading to their hiatus.
Starting with Soojin, she was caught up in a bullying controversy in February last year and stopped her activities in March, before leaving the group in August.
Just like Soojin, Kim Garam shortly after her issue was put on a temporary hiatus by HYBE, becoming the fastest idol to be suspended from activities since its debut.
Internet users also emphasized that the way their agencies deal with their bullying controversies was similar.
Previously, Cube denied the allegations of bullying and took legal action against the accuser. At that time, Soojin also denied the allegations of bullying through a lengthy post.
While a lot of fans defended Soojin at first, the public's opinion changed when an alleged another victim of Soojin, who turned out to be actress Seo Shin Ae, testified against the female star. This eventually led to Soojin's departure from the group and company.
In March 2022 then, the police released the results of their investigation stating that:
"The police denied that the accuser(s) were spreading false info, failing to prove that Soojin was 'not guilty.'
At the same time, this also does not imply that Soojin is 'guilty' and that the accuser(s) were innocent."
Similarly, HYBE has also chosen an all-out legal action against the accuser and claimed that Kim Garam wasn't involved in any physical violence and that she's a victim of malicious rumors.
However, the victim fought back by presenting their side through a legal firm and presented proof including a notice of No. 5 measure - special education Kim Garam received during middle school.
Due to these similarities, people are talking about an alleged parallel theory involving two idols. As of now, the attention is focused on whether Kim Garam, who has been taking a similar path to Seo Soojin so far, will remain in the group or if her career will also lead to a departure.
