In 2022, U-KISS announced their new start as a re-organized team following contract expiration with NH Media. Who are the remaining members and what are they up to now?
The K-pop group U-KISS is comprised of 10 members throughout their career although they were initially introduced as a sextet in 2008 by NH Media.
Since debut, the group underwent multiple lineup changes; thus, the other four members including Hoon, Jun, AJ and Kiseop joined the team later.
When U-KISS debuted, they experience decent success in Korea, having more fame in Asian countries such as Japan and the Philippines. They were notable for their numerous hits including "330," "Neverland" and more.
Despite the popularity, it took eight years before U-KISS obtained their first music show win through the release of "Playground" in 2015.
While most fans initially think that this would be the start of their continuous recognition in Korea, the group once again undergo multiple lineup changes after some members left the group. This led to several hiatus until, in 2021, Jun, the remaining member under NH Media also left the agency.
Where Are Remaining U-KISS Members? [2022]
1. Soohyun
Soohyun, who became the leader of U-KISS in 2011, is currently an actor and singer under Tango Music. His last activity as an idol was his sub-unit promotion with Hoon in January 2021, where the duo released their single "I Wish" in both Korea and Japan.
Although he left NH in April 2021, Soohyun affirmed he will remain as U-KISS.
2. Kiseop
After leaving U-KISS in 2019, Kiseop announced his marriage to model-actress Jung Yoo Na. During his temporary break as an idol, the "Paradise" singer opened his own clothing line and became a businessman.
In 2022, Tango Music delivered the news of Kiseop's return to the entertainment scene after signing a contract with them along with Soohyun.
At that time, the company also confirmed that Kiseop will be joining U-KISS again.
3. Hoon
After contract expiration with NH in 2021, Hoon found his new nest with Tango Music in 2022, the same agency as Soohyun and Kiseop.
With this news, Hoon confirmed their new beginning at the company, pursuing both a solo career and future U-KISS activities.
On May 29, it was announced that the male idol will be tieing the knot with the former Girl's Day Jisun.
4. Jun
Unlike the other members who decided to continue their careers as singers, Jun opt to pursue his acting career.
Due to this, Jun co-established a new agency called Jflex after leaving NH Media to focus on his career as an actor.
In 2022, he starred in the hit Netflix film, "Love and Leashes," co-starring with Girls' Generation's Seohyun.
U-KISS 2022: Possible Comeback, Official YouTube Channel
Excluding Jun, the three members who are currently signed under Tango Music: Soohyun, Hoon and Kiseop announced in January that they had signed an exclusive contract with their new entertainment agency.
With this news, they announced their new start in 2022 and plan to continue their individual activities as well as U-KISS activities in the future under Tango Music.
In May, the trio also opened a new U-KISS Official YouTube channel and endorsed their latest content, "U-KISS on the Block, " a reality show which will feature both their natural, cool and pleasant side.
