GOT7's New EP Records Group's New Highest Hanteo Sales in First Week
On May 23, GOT7 released their long-awaited self-titled album alongside the music video for the title song "NANANA." This marks the group's first comeback since leaving JYP Entertainment in January 2021.
On the same day, GOT7's new EP broke the group's record for first-day sales on the Hanteo Chart. "GOT7" impressively sold almost 200,000 copies on the first day, a total of 191,730 copies to be exact.

In comparison to the septet's first-day sales with "DYE" on April 20, 2020, "GOT7" sold 32,632 copies more. "DYE" only sold 159,098 copies at that time.
On the list of top 100 highest first-day sales, their new mini-album claimed the No. 52 spot, which was previously held by IZ*ONE's "One-reeler / Act IV" that only sold 190,698 copies.
After its release, "GOT7" went on to sell thousands of copies until it eventually broke the group's record for first-week sales.
On May 29, GOT7's Hanteo sales with their new EP reached 371,569 copies, becoming their first album to reach 300,000 copies. The figure is almost 90,000 copies more than the first-week sales of "DYE" (281,791 copies).

But even before the 29th came, "GOT7" already became the septet's best-selling album in the first week with just five days of tracking. On May 27, the mini-album's sales had already exceeded 349,000 copies.
With more than 371,000 copie sold, GOT7's new EP is now the K-pop album in history with the 60th highest-first week sales, surpassing BTS' "BTS WORLD OST" which only sold 370,072 copies in the first week.

GOT7's 'NANANA' MV Enters YouTube's Global Charts
In other news, the music video for GOT7's "NANANA" managed to debut on YouTube's global charts for the week of May 20 to 26. What's more impressive about this is that the MV entered the charts with only three days of tracking since it came out on the 23rd.
On YouTube's Top Music Videos chart, "NANANA" debuted at No. 24 with 8.7 million views. It was one of the only four K-pop music videos on the list, together with PSY, BTS Suga's "That That," Jessi's "ZOOM," and IVE's "LOVE DIVE."

GOT7 "NANANA" MV also landed on YouTube's Top Songs chart, securing the No. 64 spot with 10.4 million views. It was one of the six K-pop songs on the list, along with PSY, BTS Suga's "That That," IVE's "LOVE DIVE," Jessi's "ZOOM," LE SSERAFIM's "FEARLESS," and (G)I-DLE "TOMBOY."
As of May 29, the music video for "NANANA" is trending at No. 30 worldwide. It has been one of the most popular music videos for four days now since its release.
As of this writing, "NANANA" is the No. 7 trending music video in YouTube's music category. It is close to reaching 17 million views, and has hit 1.2 million likes.
