In the second half of 2022, 13 groups are expected to debut from the top five K-pop agencies: HYBE, SM, JYP, YG and CJ ENM.

HYBE Teases 6 Upcoming New Group in 2022
On June 1, Korean media outlet The JoongAng revealed the 13 groups set to launch in the second half of 2022. They are expected to continue the influx of idol debuts and comebacks, amid the novel coronavirus.
Among HYBE's soon-to-debut groups, Min Hee Jin's new girl group is drawing huge attention. This is since the ADOR's CEO is a well-known creative director back then from SM Entertainment who contributed to the success of groups such as EXO, SHINee, f(x), and more.
HYBE is also preparing for &Team's debut, a Japanese-based boy group. comprised of four members (two Japanese, one Korean, and one Taiwanese).

HYBE will also debut a girl group, in collaboration with the U.S. label Geffen Records, an affiliate of Universal Music.
In addition to them and LE SSERAFIM who already debuted under Source Music, two new boy groups will come under Big Hit Music and Pledis Entertainment.
SM Entertainment to Introduce New NCT Units + New Boy Group
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment plans to expand NCT to the United States and Japan through NCT Hollywood and NCT Tokyo, in order. They will join the current four units NCT U, Seoul-based team NCT 127, China-based team WayV and youth alliance team NCT Dream.
SM is also preparing a new boy group, which is not a unit of NCT. Earlier, the 2021 SM New Boy Group audition was held from January to March last year to recruit male trainees born between 2002 and 2008.
JYP Entertainment to Create NiziU Boy Version + New Male Act From SBS 'LOUD'
In regards to JYP Entertainment which recently launched rookie girl group NMIXX, the company plans to introduce two new boy groups and a US-based girl group.
The first one will be the debut of a boy group selected through the survival audition "LOUD." The second boy group will be a Japanese-based boy group, that will follow the same format as NiziU.
Lastly, JYP will produce a girl group that will work in the U.S. with Republic Records.
CJ ENM to Launch US K-pop Boy Group + 'I-Land 2'
Home to Japanese boy groups JO1 and INI, CJ ENM will expand to South America and create a male idol group with "K-pop DNA."
Season 2 of the audition program "I-land," which was created in partnership with HYBE, will also air in the second half of the year. Through this, a girl group version of ENHYPEN will be formed.
YG Entertainment to Introduce BLACKPINK's Sister Group BAEMON
Last but not least, YG Entertainment will introduce a team called Baby Monster (BAEMON) that will succeed YG girl group genealogy six years after BLACKPINK's debut.
It is expected to debut in the second half of this year or the first half of next year at the latest.
