Cho Seungyoun first made his debut as a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy group UNIQ in October 2014 with their first single "Falling in Love." Cho was highly involved in the group's comeback preparation, writing his own rap verses and other lyrics for their Korean releases.
Unfortunately, UNIQ became inactive as a group due to the rising political tensions between South Korea and China. This resulted in members pursuing solo careers, with Cho Seungyoun taking a musical path.

Cho made his solo debut under the stage name Luizy in July 2016, and has since been releasing solo albums that all produced good results. He then changed his stage name to WOODZ in May 2018.

Because UNIQ's group activities only lasted for almost a year, WOODZ mainly earned from his solo career. He has released four mini-albums so far, and each one of them recorded impressive album sales.
WOODZ started releasing albums after X1 disbanded in January 2020. He dropped his first extended play "EQUAL" in June of the same year. This EP sold more than 72,000 copies in just one day on the Hanteo Chart and sold over 101,000 copies in the first week.
In South Korea, "EQUAL" recorded 65,000 sales in the first month and reached almost 150,000 sales by the end of 2020.

The male soloist made another comeback in November 2020 with his second EP "WOOPS!" It sold over 81,000 copies in the first week on Hanteo and over 100,000 copies in South Korea by the end of that year.
WOODZ's net worth continued to increase after he released his first single album "SET" in March 2021. The album had over 79,000 sales in the first week on Hanteo and over 84,000 sales in the first month in South Korea.
In October 2021, his third mini-album "ONLY LOVERS LEFT" came out. It achieved 38,000 first-week sales and 52,000 first-month sales.

Besides album sales, WOODZ also earns a huge amount of money from his solo concerts. In September 2020, he held his first solo online concert "NOT JUST A CONCERT - W BOX." He then had his first in-person concerts in 2021, titled "The Invisible City," on Dec. 11 and 12.
