SM Entertainment Under Fire For NCT Yuta's Unfair Treatment During Tokyo Concert
Following NCT 127's recent concert in Japan, Japanese fans are airing out their complaints about Yuta's unfair treatment.
NCT 127 recently kickstarted their Japan dome tour, "NEO CITY: JAPAN THE LINK." The group started the tour on May 22 with a concert in Vantelin Dome Nagoya. Then, on May 28 and 29, NCT 127 held a two-day concert at the Tokyo Dome.

The May 28 concert was broadcast live exclusively on WOWOW for domestic Japanese viewers. For international viewers, it was streamed through Beyond LIVE. The concert saw love from viewers until they noticed something odd near the concert's end.
At the time, the members were riding gondolas and waving goodbye to the viewers. During the segment, each member received a close-up shot. Except for Yuta, however, who was not shown at all throughout the entire segment.

This moment soon trended on social media, and many were upset over Yuta's lack of screentime. Soon, other viewers who watched the live stream stated that Yuta was not given screentime in another song for several minutes.

"How could they do this to Yuta in his come country Japan?"
"I have ignored his treatment in South Korea, but how could they do this to him in Japan?"
"SM should look for a sign from the response of this segment, right?"
"Did they do this on purpose to him?"
"It is so funny that they are going to debut NCT Tokyo with how they treat Yuta."
NCT is scheduled to conclude their dome tour in Osaka at the end of June. In the meantime, the members of NCT 127 have returned to Korea. However, Yuta has remained in Japan, enjoying time in his hometown.
SM Entertainment Slammed for Unfair Treatment of Japanese Artists
This is not the first time SM Entertainment has gone under fire for their mistreatment of Japanese artists.
aespa is the face of the South Korean brand, CLIO. The brand recently received flak after sharing a post that only featured three members - Winter, Karina, and Ningning - forgetting Giselle.

People quickly protest against CLIO. The brand released a statement stating that they were unable to post all four girls because they were working with SM Entertainment to deliberate the advertisement. They then made a new post featuring all four members.
SM Entertainment has been criticized for discrimination against their Japanese artists. However, Yuta's case has brought more anger among the public since he was mistreated in his home country.

It has been ten years since Yuta moved to Korea and four years since he debuted in Japan. The male idol was finally able to achieve his wish of performing in front of Japanese fans at the Tokyo Dome.
He had shed tears during the concert, yet a sad event had happened. As of writing, SM Entertainment has not responded to the backlash.
