Are Super Junior Ryeowook, Former TAHITI Ari Still Dating? Here's an Update About Their Relationship
It has been speculated that Super Junior member Ryeowook and former TAHITI Ari are still dating. On June 4, an article titled "RYEOWOOK is still dating 'Shincheonji,'" was posted on an online community.
The author of the post said:
"I was looking for a cafe on social networking service (SNS), and I saw that a certain cafe was run by Ryeowook around that area. But I think she's still dating Shincheonji (Ari)."
Ryeowook runs a cafe in Gimpo City, and a picture of a woman using a grip talk like Ari was posted on the cafe's social media in February.

The author implied that Ari recently posted a photo of her visit to a cafe with an acquaintance on Instagram.
"Still dating" suspicions have been raised as the "grip talk" attached to Ari's smartphone resembles the grip talk used by a certain someone's picture posted on the Instagram account of the cafe run by Ryeowook.
Internet users speculate that Ari visited a cafe run by Ryeowook and took the picture.
Here's Reason Some People Are Against Ryewook Relationship With Ari
Meanwhile, the couple has already admitted that they were lovers in September 2020. At that time, Ari also explained that she had managed the Instagram account of the cafe run by her boyfriend. The current suspicion is that she still has been managing Ryeowook Cafe's Instagram account so far.
However, the post seemed that internet users are upset that they are still doing well, by the fact that the author and commenters addressed Ari as "Shincheonji."
To explain this, "Shincheonji" refers to followers of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, a denomination of Christian new religious movement established in South Korea by Lee Man Hee.
It was referred to by mainstream churches as a cult or pseudoreligion and in the country, being called "shincheonji" could be an insult.
In the same year, their relationship broke out, Ari was allegedly appearing in YouTube videos related to Shincheonji for about a year. Suspicions surrounded her and she was believed to be in the video of Shincheonji graduates.
The reason Korean netizens were extremely mad at shincheonjis was that it reportedly became the heart of the country's outbreak. A devotee with COVID-19 attended multiple masses at different churches that led to more than 5000 positive cases in 2020.
Thus, Ari became the center of criticism for allegedly supporting the church, and the issue gradually extended to her relationship with Super Junior's "Little Prince" Ryeowook.
However, at that time, Ari lambasted the controversy through a tweet and defended herself saying:
"I'm a Christian but I'm definitely not Shincheonji. I'm not the woman in the uploaded photo that was alleged me, and I have no idea whether the media (where I appeared on YouTube) is directly related to Shincheonji."
When the suspicions did not go away, Ari posted a video and a photo of herself attending a church and her baptism ceremony and said:
"I am uploading these out of fear. My ignorance is my only fault. Please stop spreading a rumor now. I will not make more clarification."
Despite this, some internet users are still associating her name with the religion till now.
Ari, a former TAHITI member made her debut in the music industry in November 2012 and is said to have been active on the musical stage since the disbandment of the group in 2018.
