Do Trainees Date Each Other? Bin Haneul, Choi Yejin 'Spill the Tea'

During the casual Q&A segment, Bin and Choi were asked if the trainees don't date each other despite their attractive visuals.

The long-time trainee Bin Haneul then immediately replied:

"THEY DO! Like a lot. Many trainees are handsome and beautiful, so it is possible to develop feelings for each other. It's also hard for trainees to date outside because (non-trainees) live differently, so they won't be able to understand each other."

Choi Yejin explained that on top of visuals, the connection is also the reason trainees date each other.

"Trainees have a lot of things in common. They have the same goals so they understand each other more than anyone else. That's why I think it can't be helped."

Hilariously, when the producer asked the two if the company allowed it, Bin and Choi both answered "NO" and revealed that it is actually forbidden in the company.

For this reason, trainees have to make ways how to keep their relationships discreet.

"They date in secret, and quietly. Trainees would constantly delete their KakaoTalk messages and records in their cellphones."

What Is Ideal Weight Trainee Should Maintain? Idol Aspirants Reveal 'Formula'

In the same broadcast, Bin Haneul and Choi Yejin, who experienced being trainees in various agencies, conveyed the "formula" that they mostly followed to maintain the ideal weight of a trainee.

According to them, the ideal weight for girl groups is calculated using the formula:

[ Height (cm) - 120 = ideal weight ]

In particular, the topic was discussed after a fan shared an anecdote where BTS RM had to secretly put the ice cream he's eating in his pocket to avoid being caught by staff.

Bin then opened up that some agencies are really strict when it comes to idols and trainees' diets. In fact, she experienced tying a rope in her backpack just to secretly eat tteokbeokki.

Choi Yejin also shared a story of her rebelling from her former agency when she decided to follow her appetite and eat whatever she wanted after being on a diet for a long time. She said:

"When they found out I've gained weight after weighing me just right after, they made me run nine laps around the agency."

While maintaining a certain weight is a pressure on trainees, Bin added that if a trainee became popular later after their debut, the agency would allow them to eat more to complete their busy schedules.
