(G)I-DLE Yuqi Warned For Wearing 'Too Revealing' Outfit– Here's Idol's Response
On July 2, Yuqi, a Chinese member of the girl group (G)I-DLE, took to Weibo to share new photos. On the post, the female star graced fans with her stunning beauty. She also flaunted her pink hair and high-teen fashion.
Immediately after posting her photos, it amassed thousands of likes and comments praising her. Some fans also tried to communicate with her through the post and asked about her current status.

Most of the comments were heartwarming, such as:
"Baby, actually I have a lot of (good) motives. I hope you are happy, are free, singing the songs you like and doing whatever you like. We always got your back."
"Song Yuqi, are you loving yourself? Answer me so that I can rest assured."
In response, Yuqi sincerely replied:
"Thank you, I have a lot of good motives, too. I hope you all are like this."
"I love myself very much. I hope you love yourself as well. You should love yourself first, then the others, okay?"
Meanwhile, another fan showed her concern for the "Giant" singer regarding her latest photos wearing short skirts and flaunting her upper chest.
The Neverland commented:
"Baby (Baobao), the 3rd and 5th pictures, aren't they look like nip slip? Please be careful when I'm not around. There are many people (here) with perverted desires."
In particular, the fan implied that Yuqi should be mindful of what she wears and post to avoid catching people's attention with no good intentions.
Although Yuqi seemed to be grateful for the fan's concerns, she attested to them by her response empowering women.
"No, this is prejudice, baby. It doesn't mean that when a girl wears a short skirt or shows some chest means she's overexposing herself. It also doesn't mean that when she shows some skin, you should think that way.
I just thought I looked good (in the outfit/post), and I felt satisfied, so that's enough."
In her reply, Yuqi also boosts women's confidence by adding:
"You don't have to take what others think or see you as by heart. We wear pretty clothes and makeup for us to look good and confident. Just be yourself. Just be happy by yourself."

In her interview with Elle Korea on July 24, the "TOMBOY" singer opened up on her thoughts about her recent look. She said:
"In the past, most of the words that I get were 'cute,' but now I like the fact that there are various responses such as 'cool' and 'pretty'. It feels like going one step further."
In regards to her mental strength, Yuqi also shared:
"I'm strong enough. That's why it's a concern. 'Yuqi is always bright and strong, so anything is okay.' I wanted to show how weak and hurt I was at times as well, but my natural tendencies didn't change."
