On July 15, Korean media outlets reported that Super Junior Leeteuk and IVE Jang Wonyoung will serve as the hosts at this year's Asia Artist Awards (AAA). This is their second consecutive year as hosts, following their chemistry as MCs of last year's awards ceremony.

This year will mark Leeteuk's seventh time being chosen as the MC of AAA. He has been hosting the said event since its first edition in November 2016 and has been co-hosting with different actresses, such as Lee Si Young, Lee Sung Kyung, and Park Ju Hyun, to name a few.

IVE Jang Wonyoung is the first female K-pop idol to host AAA alongside the Super Junior member.

As mentioned above, the Asia Artist Awards 2022 will take place in Japan for the time. The awards show has mostly been held in South Korea. However, in 2019, the event was held in Hanoi, Vietnam.

This year's AAA is also drawing attention as it will have an in-person audience for the first time in three years. The awards ceremonies held in 2020 and 2021 were both held in an "on-tact" format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, the Asia Artist Awards 2022 is set to take place on December 13. More information on the event will be announced at a later date.

Super Junior Leeteuk, IVE Jang Wonyoung's Recent Activities

In the past few months, IVE Jang Wonyoung and Super Junior Leeteuk have both active in the K-pop scene.

On April 5, Jang Wonyoung returned to the music scene as part of IVE. The rookie girl group dropped their second single album, "LOVE DIVE," which is composed of the title song of the same name and the B-sidetrack "ROYAL."

As of July 3, IVE has won nine music show trophies for "LOVE DIVE," marking their second most wins. Their debut song, "ELEVEN," is currently their most awarded track, having a total of 13 trophies.

With "LOVE DIVE," IVE entered the top 10 best-selling K-pop girl groups in the first week in Hanteo history. The new girl group also made history on several Billboard charts (dated April 23).

Moreover, "LOVE DIVE" has become IVE's first album to earn a double platinum certification from Circle Chart (formerly called Gaon Chart). This certification is given to an album that reaches 500,000 album sales.

Meanwhile, Leeteuk has released multiple albums this year as part of Super Junior. The boy group released a special single album titled "The Road: Winter for Spring" on Feb. 28. The album contains the title track "Callin'" and the B-side song "Analogue Radio."

On July 13, Super Junior made another comeback with their eleventh studio album, "The Road: Keep on Going," becoming the first artist under SM Entertainment to release an 11th full-length album. "The Road: Keep on Going" features the title song "Mango" and four other tracks.

As of July 14, Super Junior's 11th album had sold 104,197 copies on the Hanteo Chart.
