2PM Chansung & Wife Confirmed to Have Welcomed First Child
On July 26, Korean media outlet SPOTV News released an exclusive report, stating that 2PM Chansung's wife recently gave birth to a baby girl. They added that the idol-actor is said to be very happy to welcome their first child, and is taking care of his wife and daughter.
Shortly after the report came out, L'July Entertainment confirmed the news through Sports Chosun, saying, "Hwang Chansung's wife recently gave birth to a girl. Both mother and the child are in good health."

In December of last year, 2PM Chansung made a surprise announcement about his marriage to his longtime girlfriend (who is eight years older than him). He also revealed at that time that he and his fiancée are expecting their first child. Moreover, he announced his departure from JYP Entertainment, which has been his agency for 15 years.
In his handwritten letter, the "My House" singer said, "There is someone who I have been in a relationship with for a long time. This person has been the resting place for my unstable heart and a friend who I can share anything with for a long time, and she became my girlfriend."

He continued, "While preparing and planning marriage with this person after my military discharge, the blessing of a new life came to us earlier than expected, and we are planning to get married as early as the beginning of next year."
Reportedly, the couple's wedding was scheduled early this year, but it was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Hwang Chansung signed an exclusive contract with L'July Entertainment this past March and plans to continue his activities as a 2PM member and as an actor.
At the end of his handwritten letter, the idol-actor said, "I will work hard as I am right now in the near future to impress as 2PM's youngest member Chansung and actor Hwang Chansung."

2PM Chansung's Last Activity Before Leaving JYP Entertainment
Hwang Chansung's last activity as a JYP artist is his participation in 2PM's Korean and Japanese comebacks.
On June 28, 2PM dropped their seventh studio album "MUST," which features the title track "Make It" (where band member Wooyoung participated as a lyricist and composer). The album also contains nine other songs, seven of which were co-written and/or composed by Jun.K and Taecyeon.
"MUST" achieved commercial success, peaking at No. 3 on the Circle Weekly Album Chart and hitting No. 4 on Japan's Weekly Oricon Album Chart. It even broke 2PM's personal record for highest first-week sales on the Hanteo Chart after selling a total of 79,446 copies (this record was previously held by their 2014 album "Go Crazy," which sold 49,631 copies).

Moreover, 2PM's "MUST" entered the top 10 of iTunes Album charts in 20 different regions, as of June 29. The studio album also managed to debut at No. 3 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart. At the same time, the title song "Make It" landed on the No. 43 spot on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart. The track also entered iTunes Song charts in at least 15 countries.
Three months later, 2PM dropped their Japanese EP "With Me Again" on Sept. 29. It comprises the title track of the same name, the Japanese version of "Make It," and five more songs.
