Girls' Generation recently made a comeback after five long years to celebrate their 15th anniversary. Unfortunately, their promotions have been canceled for THIS reason.
Girls' Generation Seohyun Tests Positive For COVID-19
On August 9, Girls' Generation maknae Seohyun tested positive for COVID-19 and is now on quarantine. As a result, the other members and SM Entertainment decided to stop their promotions for their 15th anniversary album "FOREVER 1."
According to a report, their appearance on MNET's MCountdown and SBS' Inkigayo on August 11 and 13, respectively, are scrapped.
Girls' Generation has since released a statement on the matter.

"Hello.
Seohyun was diagnosed with COVID-19 today (August 9).
Therefore, Seohyun immediately halted all of her scheduled activities and is currently getting treatment and rest, and Girls' Generation's music show promotions that were scheduled for this week ("M Countdown," "Inkigayo") have unavoidably been canceled. We ask for fans' understanding.
Thank you"
Seohyun also took to her Instagram account to pacify her worried fans.
"SONE, who must have waited for our promotions more longingly than anyone... and my unnies... I'm sorry. I was healthy, so I didn't think I'd get [COVID-19]... but in the end, I wound up catching it. I'm really so disappointed and feel so sorry... I'll recover quickly, so let's meet in good health on the day of next week's music show!"

Fans Worry About Girls' Generation Seohyun's Health
As of this writing, Girls' Generation Seohyun's name is on Twitter's trending list. It is evident that the fans are worried about her health. Many fans are tweeting about the SNSD member getting COVID and how hard it is to have the virus.
Fans are wishing for Seohyun's speedy recovery. They are also hoping no other member and staff of Girls' Generation caught the viru.

On August 5, Girls' Generation celebrated their 15th anniversary with a special album "FOREVER 1." The group's comeback is the first in five years.
"FOREVER 1" was set to be performed on two music shows this week and that was supposed to be the first time Sooyoung and Tiffany will try the 4k and 8k fancams that are now famous and usual to 4th generation K-pop idols.
It is a good thing that the ladies will resume their activities and music show promotions next week.
